Pre War Mauser in Schuler Caliber 11.2x72

Very nice Schuler Mauser.

Always been fascinated by bullets made from other cartridge brass.
Can you explain the process?
Lead core alloy formula, swaging techniques, bonding, bullet performance, e.g. penetration and expansion?

Thank you for your insight.
I have a special die for rounding the nose - not made expressly for this, but works well - but other than that, when I started making .458s I used 243Win and 303 British FLS dies to make them.
One could actually use just the 303 die.
The key is to choose the case with a base diameter which most closely matches the diameter of the bullet you want.
Then, you fully anneal the empty brass, either fill them with molten lead or use a core and then with liberal lube and arm strength you press them up into the die to a predetermined depth - where the taper matches the desired diameter and then knock it out of the die with a rod.

I've posted in depth on other forums which I cannot link here but maybe I can start a new thread to fully explain the process when I get more time.
That said, I haven't used any on game so can't comment on anything regarding that other than what I know other folks have experienced.
