Poll Knife #1000

Which of my knife designs should be the choice for knife #1000

I only have these 2 bars of stainless damascus on hand and the ladder bar (lower one) is not big enough for a Pocket Ranger. The upper one is Fireball Damascus and is large enough foe that blade. The Ladder bar will do the smaller knives and up to a Bushcraft Hunter as it is not a deep knife. View attachment 528282
Well Fireball it is then!

I nominate a Pocket Ranger. Three pin polished brass or buffalo horn bolster under Kerelian Birch or other very high end hardwood. This blade and sheath. I lost this one to my lovely wife so I need a new one;)

Greater love hath no man, that he gives up his favourite knife to his Paramour .

Are you going to spend several thousand dollars on a knife for every day carry on safari?
Does that mean you are bidding several thousand on the number 1000? ;)

I like the EDC but agree that it needs to be a artistic choice by @Von Gruff, my only suggest is use a Damascus steel bade. The one you made for me is just a classy knife!!!

@ActionBob I keep loosing rifles to my better half I better not let her meet @Just Gina or my knifes might also start migrating to her side of the hunting gear:A Surrender:

I've asked @Von Gruff to make me something interesting a couple of times and those are my favorite knives. Just do your thing, that is what people are ultimately going to want, or at least many of us do.

I'm voted other.
I think there are others that have a certain appeal.for one reason.or another
Maybe you will be inspired to develop a new design for the occasion.

I know I’ll be in the minority but I’ve always admired the 4x4 Hunter. I think 4 inch blades are great for all around utility. It has a drop point for gutting, enough belly for skinning, enough blade length for camp chores and not too much blade length so it doesn’t look like you’re going to war. I worked on a fence crew building elk fence in Wyoming 40 years ago. The locals said you could tell how far east a Hunter came from by the length of his knife. The longer the knife the farther “back east” he was from.

In what seems a very short time I will be making knife # 1000 and as sugested by @rookhawk it will be auctioned for a yet to be determined hunting or conservation organisation connected to some aspect of the Africa Hunting scene.
@Von Gruff
Gary my favorite knife of your exudes pure simplicity, class and usefulness.
The bull nose skinner in either full size or mini bull nose. Both very useful and good for skinning and camp chores.
More work goes into the skinning process than making the initial cuts so every one needs a good skinner. Why not a package of edc and skinner.
Just my thoughts.
Bob

@Action Bob
You need to learn
What's hers is hers and what's yours is hers.
When you buy something you like buy two. That way you will be garrentee you will get to keep one and @Just Gina gets the other
Problem solved.

Bob;
See below, go back and observe that Garry "had" two chunks of stainless damascus in stock. I spoke for one for that Pocket Ranger.... just where do you think the other disappeared too? ;)
Not the easiest material for me to get a hold of.

Since it is to be an auctioned knife (not necessarily a field knife) I voted Heavy Hunter for the blade style. Fancy custom materials in the handle. Maybe even some type of display stand with the #1000 and other artist info... IMHO

Wapati Hunter Butcher with walnut and buffalo boss is definitely my favorite.

I also like the character in the blade of your earlier creations made from files.

But for your #1,000, you should release your artistic side and create whatever you desire!

It seems that "other" is running even with the PH EDC which surprised me but the comments around some choosing "other" has given me pause for thought and a idea or two is starting to settle but will give the poll a little longer just to be sure of the prefered outcome.
The steel to be used for the knife will most likely be this new X pattern stainless damascus
