Shudder to think what he might do with the rods....
Ukranian power plant workers: "Where men are men, women are women and both genders are now nervous" with Sam running around with his spent fuel rods. LOL

Lol, that's what you called me. Quit embarrassing yourself, you're not on my league. Insults don't affect me
I was trying to figure out what league you were in then I saw this. Anyone that can ride a lightning bolt has my respect. Once I figure out my super power I would be interested in joining a super hero league also. Good luck and fly safe.

You lost what credibility you might have had with your 4th sentence. I’m done with your wacky conspiracy theories. I tried to debate reasonably with you but it’s impossible with an unreasonable conspirator. Goodbye.

Agreed. NB is a waste of time. I’m brightening my life with the ignore button. If we all do the same he can debate his drivel with himself.

I'm going to regret this but.

Nature Boy, couldn't an argument be made that sending money/weapons to Ukraine is undermining China. Getting Russians to burn through their missiles, equipment, troops, and finances (as pointed out their military budget and overall economy is pretty small) is a strategic win since it diminishes one of China's key allies (especially militarily). I think seeing how Ukraine has bogged down Russia it has given China pause for invading Taiwan.

I am in agreement that China needs to be a priority but having Russia in a no win meat grinder situation is advantageous to the US.

As far as former military officer joining defense contractors, it kind of makes sense since it is their industry and leverages their experience (not to mention clearance requirements). Getting a job isn't necessary a grift even though there are actors that thrive off of war and chaos.

Yup and the action biden took was massive, pushed our US workers helping them (I call them traitors). I have no idea why biden didn't pump this up in the press. We finally figured out making a chip at home might be smart. As pathetically stupid as our military and business leaders are, it's at least hopeful as they did do this. But of course the taxpayer is going to pay private companies to make chips and sell them back to us. Lmao. How could any gov't or buisiness be so stupid to not plan for this contingency. I assume the military has hoarded some up but it was still stupid. We can't make a car. lol.

You don't have this quite correct. Yes there are lots of fabs across the world. They provide IC's for lots of products we buy. But not all fabs are on foreign shores nor have they been.

I live a mere few minutes from Intel's leading fabs here in Arizona. Just up the street from them is Microchip. Global Foundries in New York, several fabs in Texas....lots of them. And they were there long before Biden came along.

They have broken ground on this one (the deal was cut almost three years ago). It is about ten miles down the road. My assessed property value has doubled in one year.

Sorry to interrupt the distraction that is Russia and Ukraine and 5000 genders.

Did anybody notice that late Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving, when nobody was watching, the Federal Reeserve started beta testing Fedcoin, our “Central Bank Digital Currency”? This is the digital currency that the Fed swore they weren’t working on over the last three years. Japan started its digital currency beta on the same day.

This is a big deal, but you won’t read much about it at your favorite house of ‘journalism’. Wonder why?

Cash in your pocket for a rainy day? Not so fast. Not for much longer. Don’t worry, our lovely government will tell you when you can buy, what you can buy and where you can buy it, very soon.

Yes, I saw that and Digital health passport. Bad days are ahead for freedom loving Americans.

@Nature Boy What, exactly, are you trying to ask or say? In reading the last 8-10 pages of posts, here's the best I can come up with. Is your stance that:

1. US involvement (sending aid of any kind, be that monetarily or goods) in the Ukraine war against Russia is wasted effort.
2. Moreover than wasted effort, there will be no significant impact to the US whether or not Russia takes over Ukraine.
3. The various funding of Ukrainian war (either $ or goods) is a scheme to line the pockets of various corrupt persons and groups, both domestic and foreign.
4. We should instead focus our attention to China, and the prevention of them "killing" the US as we know it.

Have I hit the most significant points? Or would you care to modify this list in any way?

If these are correct, here is my stance on these subject matters. Keep in mind that I have no level of experience or expertise in these fields, am not well read, and these are my opinions.
1 & 2 are opinion based and cannot be proven either way. 3 is likely.
#4 I don't feel is mutually exclusive to 1-3. All can happen at the same time.

You keep claiming you post facts, but change the parameters when countered. (Examples: your post #20,028 says we get nothing from Ukraine, is countered in post 20,031 providing factual data about Ukrainian exports, then your post 20,034 talks about wheat ... your post 20,034 says we get most of our (US) fertilizer from Russia, post 20,035 suggests we don't, 20,037 you give a dollar amount but say you don't know how much that is percentage wise, 20,052 gives additional information about it, and your reply in 20,059 is "So what" then goes on another tangent ... I'm stopping here - there are 8ish more pages after those.

You claim to "beat" other members, or accuse them of losing and running away as they provide facts and informed responses (example posts 20,164 & 20,165 - @Red Leg called out your post about US plans to put Nukes in Ukraine, you counter with quotes about Germany and Poland and try to insult him in the process (saying "again, try to read"). You later admit to @Scott CWO that you may have used term nukes instead of missiles (which was not the point in contention as it related to those posts, make no mention of confusing countries, and still somehow claiming to have beat him.

We are questioning what you are asking or what points you are trying to make. We are wondering why you ignore the facts and information provided (often from very knowledgeable individuals with first hand experience in the fields being discussed). Moreover we are dumbfounded by your insistence you know more than everyone here, and confusing fact vs opinion. Even those who have tried to engage in respectful conversations and from a stance of direct questioning can't get a straight response. Perhaps your real position is to just stir the pot and troll the forum. If you can't answer this post directly, concisely, and without antics, I'll assume the latter to be true and move on.

My assessed property value has doubled in one year.
you have my sympathies- Property here has gone up 25% per year for three years and all it has accomplished has been to increase our property taxes and give that demented Bidet ideas on taxing "unrealized gains"- then if the values go back down because of the coming depression we are doubly screwed.

CATCHING WILD PIG

Karl Marx once said- "Remove one freedom from every generation. Soon you will have no freedom left and no one would have even noticed.

One day while the class was in the laboratory, a Professor noticed a young man kept rubbing his back and stretching,
as if his back hurt.

The Professor asked the young man what was the matter. The student told him that he had a bullet lodged in his back. He had been shot while fighting Communists in his native country, who were trying to overthrow his country's Government and install a new Communist regime.

Then, the student looked at the Professor and asked a strange question-

"Do you know how to catch wild Pigs ?"

The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punchline. The young man said that it was no joke at all.

"You catch wild Pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting Corn on the ground. The Wild Pigs find the Corn and begin to come every day to eat the Free food.

When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence on one side of the place where they are used to coming regularly.

At first, the Wild Pigs are scared, but when they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence.

They get used to that and start to eat again. You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side.

The Pigs, which are used to the Free Corn, start to come through the gate to eat that Free Corn again. Then you slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd.

Suddenly, the wild Pigs have lost their freedom. They run around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go back to eating the Free Corn.

They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity and they are slaughtered thereafter."

The young man then told the Professor-
"That is exactly what is happening in many countries today.

The Governments keep pushing the people towards Socialism and keep spreading the Free Corn out in the form of programmes such as Free Rations, Free Electricity, Tax credits, Caste Benefits, Farm subsidies, Welfare Schemes, Free entitlements, Free medicines, while the people continually lose their freedom, just a little bit at a time."

One should always remember a simple Truth:

There is no such thing as a Free Lunch

If you think that the Free Ride is essential to your way of life, then God help you when the gates slam shut !

Most of the problems we are facing today, are because the people who work for a living are now outnumbered by those who vote for a living !

I HOPE THIS IS NOT TRUE...?

Iranian parliament voted 220 yes out of 290 to execute 15 000 arrested protesters.
This is going to be mass murder as never before seen.
Our world is a sick sick place.
How long before other countries are going to start do the same to those who protest against how their government treat its citizens?
