Texas was not violently annexed by the United States. She won her independence from Mexico on 21 April, 1836 at the battle of San Jacinto. She applied to join the United States in 1845 and was peacefully admitted. I realize what you attempted was intended as provocative humor, but I have a problem with perverted history. I also had ancestors that were slaughtered at Goliad by Santa's army so I'm a bit touchy on the subject.

And in case anyone is wondering, and as I have already alluded to a couple times, Texas' independence was not about skin color, or even religion. Santa Anna had been violating the Mexican Constitution of 1824 like it wasn't even there. Texans, including a great many "brown" people, didn't like having their rights abused, and so fought a war to end the usurpations. Texans simply had a great deal less patience with the usurpations of Santa Anna than the founding fathers of the US had with George III.

Agree. It's not only possible but most likely .

And if they believe that they should factually point out those differences instead of using a fallicious parody as an argument. Unless of course they don't have much faith in their actual argument.

It is curious to me that "Palestine" and "Palestinians" (a creation of multi-national forces at the conclusion of WWI, notably the British and French; there is no historical nation state known as "Palestine" ) should quibble over the 365 sq km of Gaza and the 5655 sq km of the West Bank, and fight for "home rule" when there are 91,000 sq km east of the Jordan River which are also "Palestine" and where they do not launch rockets and carry out other acts of terrorism against the Jordanian government.

If we wish to look to history, the 2nd Temple was constructed about 2500 years ago. The first holy temple was built about 3000 years ago. Prior to that, the land was Egyptian, and before that, it was Canaanite land.

The muslim conquest of Jerusalem occurred in AD 636 and 637. During the 1st and 2nd Crusades, Jerusalem was held by the crusaders for a number of years.

The Palestinians have zero historical claim to that land. Since the Canaanites no longer exist, it would appear that the Egyptians have perhaps the greatest historical claim to that land, though today's Egypt is not the Egypt of 3000 years ago. Historically, the Jews have the strongest claim.

It is also curious that there are muslims in both the Knesset and in the IDF. I wonder how many Jews are in the various muslim nation state governments, and how many Jews are in muslim nation state militaries.

Pay particular attention to what God said would happen to the Jews if they defiled the land and failed to obey His commands.

Not a happy ending (think 70AD).

Of course, men generally don't care what God says...they think they know better. They even try to undo what God has done, and do what God says don't do.

I agree but you might check the rest of the book to see what happened to most of the messengers....including all but one of the apostles
