the general said the military had a few people assigned to oversee the events at Fordow for 15 years. I wonder if Obama/Biden/Kerry were aware that the military were not buying into the deal that Iran would cease its bomb making, and the military was closely monitoring the site with the possibility that at the right moment action would be taken to put it back to zero.

I suspect the military games out for a lot of stuff that the public and most of the administrative state has zero clue about and would prefer to keep it that way.

This guy also wants to arrest Netanyahu if he comes to New York. This would be interesting since he wants to replace the police with social workers. I would almost pay money to see how that would go over with the Israeli equivalent of the US Secret Service or Mossad!
Actually, US Secret service provides protection as well.

the President is definitely aware of DTRA. The President does not have the need or capacity to be fully informed on every project. But they are definitely in the loop of capabilities.

To follow up, Joey Jones on Fox news reported that Obama gave them direction while Joey worked at DTRA to narrow the focus more on nuclear threats and away from chemical and biological threats.

As a US Marine EOD tech. He was recruited to work at DTRA after he lost his legs to a IED

There are two separate lines of effort within DOD. One is 'war planning." That is conducted by the joint staff, the service staffs and the combatant commanders (which is also a joint effort). There are specific contingencies for hot spots worldwide and scenario planning for things like "small island" which was dusted off when we entered Granada. The actual executed plan is simply tailored for the specific operation.

The other effort is "combat development' related in which DITRA plays a major role with respect to weapons of mass destruction. All the services and combatant commands also have offices directed toward such efforts. For instance, the Army, as part of Army Futures Command has the Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM). Again, with respect to the Army, there are then a number of subordinate labs or centers specializing in various Army capabilities such as the Ground Vehicle Systems Center or C5ISR Center.

These various planning and combat development headquarters in turn generate the requirement that becomes a proposal to industry. The GBU-57 was developed by the Northrop Lockheed team as a requirement for a non-nuclear solution to deeply buried and protected targets. Northrop was a logical teammate for Lockheed because Northrop built the B2 which would be the desired strike platform for such a weapon. I should note that Northrop is now also the prime for the B21 which will replace our aging B2 fleet (flotilla is a better name - we only have 19 which made them rather expensive per platform).

Thus, war planning and combat development go hand in hand in deciding how and where we may fight and what will be needed with which to conduct that fight.

Good presentation by General "Raising Caine." "We don't grade our own homework"

Hegseth at 10:30 into the video goes off on the press corp. At 18:30, Hegseth dishes on specific press corp members.

the new stealth bomber design is amazing. But what is really impressive to me. Is that the original stealth bombers were so well designed. It was much more difficult to build and make drastic changes to the Raider. Amazing technology.

ABSOLUTELY! Hegseth looked and acted like a petulant child and attacked personally the woman providing the most accurate reporting on the raid. The big challenge to getting the PAO team on message is that they have no clue what is about to come out of the president's mouth. To remind he is the one who said the "key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated" as the mission was just leaving Iranian airspace and long before any BDA whatsoever had been accomplished. Because Trump is a reflexive braggart, and because the defense press corps understands exactly what and how BDA is accomplished, they have shown natural skepticism. I found it both telling and comforting that while the obsequious Hegseth ranted at the media and praised his boss, Caine stuck strictly to the facts, the professionalism of all involved, and the military operational details. BDA was "not his job."

Great perspective from Captain Carroll as always.
Mooch is a retired Commander. But on Youtube, he is Captain of his own channel! :)

I'm a Patron of his channel and he hosts an online happy hour on Friday afternoons. Always interesting conversations from a very diverse group.

So just to be clear, you support foreign governments assassinating elected American officials that you don’t agree with?
Think that's bad? Look at these Lefty Loons who want Iran to kill a couple million Americans they don't agree with.

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
