I’m sure there is significant damage. My point is that 2000 pounds is capable of dropping the whole span
I concur. The problem is charge placement in a way so as to exfil with no more holes than you had on infil. ;)

Interesting discussion / speculation about the attack on the bridge. Torsten Heinrich is a German military historian and commentator. He has developed a pretty loyal following during this war, and has been pretty accurate on other issues and events.

There would seem to be a disturbance in the force in Trump world. I assume the unquestioning 35% are awaiting a cue from the leader about what they should think.

The sad thing to me is the absolute lack of discipline within the party. I don't care how thin it is, when you have a majority in both houses, you get something done. The democrats would never be this fractured.

Trump's comments about Rand Paul will likely be, at best, unhelpful.

“Rand votes NO on everything, but never has any practical or constructive ideas. His ideas are actually crazy (losers!). The people of Kentucky can’t stand him. This is a BIG GROWTH BILL!”

I am sure the deficit increase is indeed problematic for fiscal conservatives, but the growth aspects of this legislation are also extraordinarily important. We can't cut enough spending to eliminate the deficit. Ergo, it is even more important to grow the economy so that it has at least the potential to outpace deficit creation. Making the first term tax cuts permanent are extremely important in achieving that sort of momentum.
Love him or hate him, Elon keeps on speaking truth. Consequences be damned.

Torsten, Made some pretty amazing guesses in that video. Most likely accurate guesses.

I agree with Musk and Rand Paul. Need to pay down the debt, not add more to it.

If the Ukrainians did the job from boats docked against the bridge in broad daylight right under the noses of the Russians, they have more brass than I thought they did.

I'm not privy to the intel the planners at the AFUHQ have, but looking at the overall picture, I'd have hit the bridge and any ferries the Russians have in that AO, then put everything I could round up into taking Donetsk and cutting the rail and road networks that supply Crimea and the occupied south.

Nothing going in to the Russians in Crimea, nothing coming out. The same way Russia cut off the Wermacht at Stalingrad, the AFU could cut off Russian forces in huge swaths of the occupied south. With no road or rail network to supply their forces, limited airlift into Crimea, and a Naval gauntlet from Hell to sail through, Crimea would become untenable.

Add attacks within Crimea by Partisans and you have a potential rout.

One of my favorite scenes from the move A Bridge to Far is the house in Arnhem Holland when the Germans are retreating. The wife asks "What is that Noise?", and the husband replies "Panic".

The probing attacks into Kursk were brilliantly executed, and it was a huge kick in the crotch for Russia, but wasn't sustainable and didn't change the overall situation. Cutting off the South would change things entirely.

That was and is sound strategy. It is what the Ukrainians attempted in the counter offensive beginning in June 2023. They committed all of their Western equipped brigades to the effort and achieved only limited success primarily due to Russian mine belts and artillery.

Since then, they seem to have adapted the strategy of bleeding the Russians so much for every square meter taken that eventually the leadership in the Kremlin will determine gains are no longer worth the effort, or the Russian military will refuse to continue bleeding. It is a tribute to Russian apathetic obedience and Putin's control of the military leadership that no one more competent in revolution than Prigozhin has yet arisen.

About a year ago, when Russian was doing one of the mobilization and sending green forces to the front. I read that Ukraine Forces were going in, wiping out the new Russian Recruits and the falling back to their defensive positions until the next group showed up.

This was writen in an article explaining why there was little movement on the front line, Ukrainians had enough forces to kill Russians but didn't have enough men/resources to occupy it and keep it.

Not 100% sure how true/accurate it was but given how we have seen Ukrainians give up land to protect their personnel, and the high death rate of Russians, logically ir did make sense.

With the ever increasing violence, disorderly conduct and unacceptable social behaviour in the streets of our nations capitals, my family and I need to get away from Europe.
AND GO WHERE PRAY TELL? FIGHT....

Who do you suppose I fight @steve white ? We are being displaced by another culture. Perhaps I should break into peoples’ homes and stop them from procreating? Or perhaps I should stand watch at the border, and do a citizen check point?

Or do you mean literally, and I should don a black mask and seek out the hooligans after a football match to take them down if they step out of line?

All eyes will be on the Arizona governors race in the mid-terms.
Commie Katie needs to be unseated, but just like the last time, I dont think republicans have a strong enough candidate to overcome the minority vote advantage. We'll see.
Charlie Kirk dropped out, and gave a large boost to Andy Biggs early polling numbers.
Biggs will appeal more to the MAGA crowd, while Karrin Taylor Robson will appeal more to the moderates and independents in the primary.

Saw that...and honestly couldn't believe what I was watching.....turning everywhere into the same shit holes they came from....now to be correct am not including here in that comment...but out of things thst piss me off here , the rubbish on sides of the roads is unbelievable.....everything from plastic drink bottles...food wrappers.. Styrofoam fast food containers..crisp packets ..you name it is just thrown put of cars, busses, trucks when empty and finished with...you see it even in middle of nowhere.....some places it's piled in heaps....when I say to people if you did that where I come from or other countries you would be fined between kwacha 1700 to kwacha 10500 depending they look at me like I am mad....to put into perspective a maid gets around k2000 to 2400 a month.and that's top end....that's using rate at moment to gbp around k35 to a pound....I have had government people I have had to give lifts to throwing the containers out of my vehicle after buying them food....had to bite my tongue due to who they were, and that they were going to be doing a report after inspections.....
A long time ago when I was in Zimbabwe if anyone threw paper out a car window, someone would run grab it and use it to roll up tobacco into a smoke. Didn't see really anything going to waste. Even a metal can would be flattened and used for building material!

It is always good entertainment to tap into the Russian propaganda network to see how they are fairing through their latest wallow in self-schadenfreude following a Ukrainian battlefield success. There are at least three interesting takeaways.

Where is Donald Trump?!? He isn't a real player if he doesn't have control of Ukraine's military and security services.

Secondly, they have decided to portray this as a "terrorist incident" rather than military retaliation against the platforms that are launching cruise missiles at Ukraine nightly. The fact that they are not receiving calls of condolence, particularly from Trump, is simply inexplicable (and no doubt very hurtful).

Finally, these miserable Ukrainians could not have possible done this themselves. They had to have been directed by some element in the US.

This may well be the most readily self-delusional culture to exist on the planet.

Once upon a time plastic water bottles were prized by the kids to use...but now there is so much of all of this used/available in even the small bush shops that it's just dumped wherever when finished.....
