You cared about 1 more thing than I did..This actually astounds me. When I was in college, albeit 50 years ago before social media, I cared about two things. Studying and co-eds. The only reason I was even aware of an election in 1976 was because a nursing student I was dating at the time was canvassing for her candidate at dorms. I don't think most guys in my fraternity cared either.
How times change.
One issue I had with the movie, vs the book, was about the water bottle in the village. In the book, Luttrell described the bottle that his rescuers offered him was an old, nasty glass bottle with even nastier water in it. In the movie, it was a pristine clean 2 liter plastic water bottle that one of the villagers must have bought at the local 7-11.I’m gonna watch it too. One thing that always bugged me about the movie was how it portrayed some of the members of the team. Some were wanting to get rid of the shepherds permanently but the one who survived to tell the tale was the voice of reason in that exchange….
Also always seemed weird (in the movie) he was on death’s door when he was in the helicopter after being rescued but the movie really didn’t show why.
Read the book quite some time ago but can’t remember much of it
I was trying to get out fast in Engineering at Purdue. I tested out of first two years of math, sciences and English after getting my A levels in UK public boarding school. Was taking graduate level classes in my sophomore year in mini computer programming. My advisor actually told me to slow down as I was also an athlete competing and 18 hours a semester was a bit much in his view. Took almost every class self-paced, so it was not an issue. I was a nerd then. You cared about 1 more thing than I did..
I dont think I picked up a book until my junior year lol… I spent my last 2 years trying to make up for lost time after spending the first two years just chasing co-eds lol…
Lets give them what they want.....

I cashed out about 10 days ago. Also, my short was based on the $428+ price anyway. Made decent amount for sure.Hopefully some of you caught the wave during the recent lull. And no one got caught shorting.![]()
Our young adults also "identify" as a member of the rainbow mafia at an alarmingly high rate. It's become a religion with them and radicals will undoubtedly emerge at a higher rate.
Like you, I hope that the conservative youth movement keeps growing and that being grounded morally, culturally, scientifically and economically continues to gain steam and is looked at as the cool thing.
Judo. 81 kg. Goal was to make the 1980 Olympic team, fell short by a smidgen, turned out to be a vain effort anyway as no one went due to boycott. What sport?

I was never that accomplished as a judo player.. but that was my sport of choice through elementary school and high school.. my mother put me in classes starting at 8 years old and I competed fairly regularly until I was about 20 before moving on to dabbling in other martial arts (toyed with shotokan for a while, taekwondo for a few years, etc) before giving it all up in my mid twenties…Judo. 81 kg. I wanted to be a Marine pilot. Entered the PLC program, went to Quantico during summers to train. Then, Carter reduced military spending and my spot went away. I had not taken any money during that time, so I had a choice. Go to infantry officer's school or bail out. I bailed out....
I knew I wanted to obtain a commission and serve in the army..
I knew the army didn’t care what degree I held.. it only cared that I had a degree and a decent GPA..

I don't have issues so much with gay people that act normal, live normal lives, and blend into society even if it doesnt align with my christian beliefs. It's their choice, and I'm not the Judge.I honestly believe that a great portion of this phenomenon is due to young people simply looking for a place to fit in. It's the new goth or emo, unfortunately there are many predators online that take advantage of these youths.
Factor in piss poor parenting, which is one of our biggest problems that our country faces. These predators have victims ripe for picking. They come of as the parent that these children never had, they act as if they care for and love them. The child now believes that the fit in, that they finally have a place where they belong.
We also have the issue of parents pushing their children into this idealogy.
Weak father's, and white leftist women who see having a trans or gay child as a fashion accessory, like a pair of designer shoes or handbag. When a woman has four kids, two trans, one gay and one lesbian, it's way out of the law of averages, it's grooming and indoctrination.
I think in the near future, we are going to see many people in their 20's and 30's dealing with gay and trans regret.
Think about how much lower the job market expectations are for kids in college today, how much higher student loan debt is, how much less the dollar buys.
Yes, and no. In the past any degree would open doors for you. Now, outside of STEM degrees most will qualify you to sell shoes at Nordstrum. So, unless one is going to get an MBA or a JD degree it is not worth getting into debt for a liberal or fine arts degree.Think about how much lower the job market expectations are for kids in college today, how much higher student loan debt is, how much less the dollar buys.
I’m not saying this to be antagonistic, your sentiments are common amongst people your age who simply cannot comprehend how much this country has changed for young people; college graduates today have a MUCH steeper hill to climb.
