Read Lucien Haag's study that I posted above. I admit, his analysis wasn't on the internet, but was peer reviewed and published in a major medical journal.

What about the Warren Commission's testing of the recovered Carcano rifle? I believe their finding could be summarized as "couldn't hit the broadside of a barn"? Specifically, if memory serves that the optic and mounts were not correct?

That leaves us with three potential scenarios: 1.) The report in the Warren Commission about a 7.92 Argentine Mauser at the Book depository may hold some weight, 2.) Oswald was a terrible shot and got really lucky, 3.) Additional Shooter/s?

Perhaps the better question is why Americans are illiterate. I would still rather freedom and liberty be the main construct of this country than government mandate. I’m probably alone in that sentiment.
The answer is parents who don’t give a damn and teacher unions that prevent good parents in poor performing and poor areas from moving their kids to better schools. It’s generally not funding and deleting the Department of Education isn’t going to change the unions and bad parenting.

“Kelly pulled up to Senate votes on Friday in front of the US Capitol in a 2025 Chevy Tahoe Z71, a spokesperson confirmed to Business Insider. Unlike his former Tesla, it is an all-gas vehicle. It gets an estimated 15 miles per gallon city, 20 mpg highway, and 17 mpg combined.”

Green for thee but not for me. The POS could have gotten another electric.

I still remember the idea by Dems in 2022 to end the filibuster and increase the Supreme Court headcount. I believe the previous,
notable attempt was by FDR. Of course, I was educated in rural IL. I could be wrong. Perhaps there were other Presidents since him.

That was an idea by dint of them that they didn’t do. It didn’t have enough support even among dems.

You can’t paint them all with every idea any dem had that wasn’t implemented any more than they can do the same to republicans. And there have been some dumb ideas by republicans that didn’t get enough support to be implemented.

Union funding is obviously a problem. That is why school choice should be mandated. However, the unions give too much funding to the Dems. So you either need a voting population so determined to push for it, or another donating body willing to fork over the money in a election year gamble.

Believe me, I won’t argue that both parties have stupid ideas. I just notice that one party always claims to be holier than thou. This is most obvious among the MSM coverage.

Yes and I’m sure that with three shots ending at a maximum distance of just 265 feet that there are several members of this forum that would have killed Kennedy. Of course it cannot be EXACTLY duplicated because every time we shoot, the variables change a bit. If Oswald had the chance to replicate his shots several times, the outcome would have been different each time. Why some people don’t understand this is beyond me. Even the same person with the same rifle would have different outcomes each time.

I simply disagree with your premise and conclusion.

The Commission's conclusions were consistent with and supported by the test firing of the weapon by both FBI and US Army personnel, all of whom could fire three accurate rounds between the 175-265 feet and 5.6 seconds of the actual engagement with Oswald's rifle. There was some slight misalignment of the scope due to "shims" used in mounting it, but all testers easily compensated. That there was another weapon is another red herring created from thin air from a misidentification by a deputy constable and deputy sheriff corrected by both men who initially reported seeing a mauser but then identified the actual Carcano.

I recommend Chapter 4, pages 191-195 in the Commission Report and the testimony of Robert A. Frazier (FBI) and Major Eugene Anderson (US Army), documented in the report’s hearings and exhibits (e.g., CE 541-546 for ballistic evidence).

Oswald was a terrible shot? He was a Marine Corps veteran who qualified as "sharpshooter" with an M1 on a target array out to 500 yards with open sights. His wife testified that he often both dry fired and took the rifle shooting. Chap 4 vol III, pages 122-123, 192 and 195.

Great to see 9th Circuit Judge Van Dyke who knows firearms demonstrate the fallacy of California's 10 round magazine law. (He starts the demonstration around the 5:30 mark.) Unfortunately the video is part of his dissent. Perhaps it will help influence SCOTUS.

Assertion in this thread:

Rookhawk is a kook, the Warren Report is comprehensive and case closed.

Trump in 2018:

“The National Archives released its last batch of more than 19,000 records on Thursday. But an undisclosed amount of material remains under wraps because Trump said the potential harm to U.S. national security, law enforcement or foreign affairs is “of such gravity that it outweighs the public interest in immediate disclosure.”

My question:

What the hell could the CIA and FBI have in the JFK files that were so damned special that divulging them 60-years post event would outweigh public interest? Station locations? Confidential informants? Tactics and methods? Nothing hush-hush is worth a damned thing after 60 years, every tactic is known, every informant is dead, every enemy and ally in intelligence sharing has changed teams since then. Makes no sense.

Amen to that!...... But as a university employee, I love how the DOGE is putting the fear of god in career academics.

I would hazard to guess that, in part, it is simply not in the nature of an intelligence service to release any information unless they are forced to. They are in the business of learning and protecting secrets and it’s probably easier to build and maintain a culture of holding onto all secrets than to have one in which they selectively reveal some secrets.

I think it’s also possible that cultivating an air of mystery and uncertainty as to what they know and are capable of also plays into their real objectives. The redacted JFK material could really be nothing, intentionally removed to keep people chasing a mystery with no satisfying answer, distracting those who are interested from what they may actually be doing.

Those involved in the JFK assassination/ investigation, are probably dead, or close to it.
There's not going to be any flashing neon sign in those files naming a guilty party outside of Oswald.

I suppose you should make your frustration known to Trump? He is ultimately responsible for any current withholding isn't he?

Saw a clip of a Reagan speech today in which he announced cutting the DOEducation and DOEnergy back in his day.
People sometimes like an idea but not the implementation. But the implementation NEVER GETS DONE! That's what happened to every other cutting/saving program. Now we're getting things done. Boy is it long overdue.

Either Trump is a complete idiot, or an evil genius. It’s been challenging to tell which you are choosing from day to day.
