According to Breitbart US has kicked the South African ambassador out. I would expect SA to do the same. Hunter’s could lose US embassy assistance.
We don't have any ambassador in SA right now. He resigned after Trump got elected. However Embassy is fully functional and will be without the Ambassador. My son is the Marine attache there and I hope things don’t get complicated.

So the ZA ambassador was ok with the ZA government stealing land to “give back” to groups of people that did not live within 1000 miles of the property when it was settled in the 1800s.
I'm not an advocate for RSA government or I approve them but you have to educate yourself on the subject. It’s not that simple and there's a white majority party in the coalition right now.
There wouldn’t be any white landowner left there if it would be like that and more than %90 of the land is still owned by whites.

When Van Riebeeck landed 370 years ago the only indigenous people south of the Orange River (pretty sure this was the river without looking it up) were Hottentots and San. People that are virtually gone today. The great Bantu migration had not made it that far south. Of the races now in South Africa, the whites were the first ones in that area.

By the time of the Great Trek, the Bantu had certainly moved south of the Limpopo in significant numbers. I think this is what @Altitude sickness is talking about and it is certainly good to "educate yourself on the subject."

^^^ exactly. Many, incorrectly try to equate the US westward migration in the mid and late 1800s with the ZA northern migration.

In the US white people did actually take land from indigenous people. Not so in ZA.

Land stealing is one of many issues Trump is addressing.

He was understandably declared persona non grata when he called the President a leader of a white supremacist movement. No one is closing embassies. At least, not yet.

Read his remarks and just shook my head in disbelief they were coming from an "ambassador". Ignorant comments, to say the least. Can't really blame Rubio for saying, Go home and don't come back.

You mentioned race and color. I never mentioned either. It’s either right or wrong. Color doesn’t matter to me.

Thank you for your son's service sir.

The problem that occurs when an institution accepts money from the government is that there are usually strings attached, although I sent my children to a private Christian school I never felt that I was owed reimbursement. This is a sacrifice that one makes and should not expect others to foot the bill. As public schools too often these days have taken on the roll of government reeducation camps it is more important then ever to be involved this educational process. My daughter is a public school teacher and is shocked by what is pushed by the NEA. Local control rather then federal is certainly a step in the right direction, reflecting the community values.
As I said, it was a précis.

Perhaps "reimbursement" is the wrong term. Whether you have children or no, your tax dollars fund the public school system.

Some cannot afford to pay for private schooling. If they were able to use that tax money towards the private schools, their children may be better educated. The school its not "accepting money from the government", rather, the parent is directing how/where his tax dollars should be spent.

Additional benefit (and here's where my personal opinions on the subject start to creep in): If funding could be directed by the parents, there would be impetus for the public system to provide better education.

As far as my previous point goes, I dream of a day when we will remember "or prohibiting the free exercise thereof" is valued as much as "respecting an establishment..."

But hell, we can't even get "shall not be infringed" right, so...

I think prudence would dictate that countries should avoid US weapons systems for the foreseeable future, if at all possible.
The talk overhere is also to quit VISA cards and Google. Too much intelligence are placed in american databanks. In regards to exchange intelligence in general like we used to has now been a concern too. No one overhere want to buy from american arms manufactures with the present administration in Washington. Too dangerous. The F35 program I think many has deeply regretted. No one could foresee some years back an alied within weeks could turn into a potential enemy. Its a strange world we are living in these days. As a christian however I see it as signs of the times. I fear no evil.

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
