Point being, while American politics certainly has it's issues; the self imposed moral high horse of Canadian politics is a farce.

It’s not that simple in Canada we don’t have an electoral collage to protect us. All it takes is for Quebec and Ontario to be convinced and the country falls. The best the rest of Canada can do is decide majority or minority.

I am not familiar with the situation, but it has been stated by Canadian members that Trump is setting back the conservative party/moment. So if Canadian voters are blaming the conservative party and Trump for any issues they have within Canada today, logically, that makes no sense to me.

Doesn’t matter Quebec and Ontario elect the government the rest of the country only decide the strength of the government. We desperately need a need an electoral reform which will never come as long as the liberals are in power as they reap the benefits from it.

We are historically a nation of enablers. From outside our borders to within. From health habits to finances. Full spectrum. Our founders were extremely insightful but they dropped the ball along the way on term limits.

I don't think that is the point, the point is it appears that a lot of our money that was supposed to be helping Ukraine fight the war against Putin and Russia (make no mistake Putin is an evil person) went into the hands of the politically connected elite Ukrainians. We can debate whether or not we should support Ukraine and if we do to what level. Id offer that Joe Biden made MANY more openly racist remarks in his career than Trump ever has.. yet, the left wants to claim Joe is a hero to minorities..

I hear yah, what I can't understand is how certain factions of my country legitimately thought Kamala Harris was worthy of the office; not to mention the way she was appointed to run without a primary, although not surprising after the Democrats screwed over Bernie Sanders for Hillary Clinton.

As far as the messiah complex... there are those in Canada that equally view Trudeau with rose colored glasses; and likewise see Poilievre as the Canadian version of Trump although with less theatrics.

For the Trump Koolaid drinkers, I can offer this explanation....

We dealt with "anything is better than Trump" and we got 4 years of Biden and look how that worked out! As the "Trump Koolaid" has been drank by some, so is the very real "TDS".... Only the TDS is being rejected more and more by society at large; especially the younger generations of minorities in the USA.

Just look at the Democrats childish behavior of holding up signs and texting while the rest of the country was applauding a 13yo cancer survivor & son of a fallen officer being accepted to west point....The leftists know that was a bad image for their ideology; but older Democrats with traditional values have no idea just how bad that was for younger left leaning voters to see.

It really comes down to the modern Democrat/leftist seeing anyone who doesn't agree with them lock and step as being an uneducated troglodyte who is a blight on society; and thus dismissing any idea contrary to their echo chamber reality as being an "existential threat to Democracy".
