I’ve got great respect for you as a fellow forum member and value your opinions very much but on this we’re going to have to agree to disagree. From where I’m sitting he went back on his word then after the fact used a security clause to justify it.

I’m actually not disagreeing with you there.

He is clearly leveraging a security clause in the interest of pushing an economic dispute…

What I’m saying is not only did Trump agree to all aspects of the renegotiated NAFTA.. so did Trudeau… which included the security clause…they both signed..

Then Biden decided open borders and the impact on US security didn’t matter… Trudeau obviously didn’t care as long as Biden didn’t care…

The end result is this gives Trump the legal path he needs to do what he is doing without violating the agreement…

Perhaps, but it isn't happening yet. An Emmerson poll came out today, and Trump is back under 50% and the generic dem vs rep congressional ballot is back to two points favoring the democrat party. Who knows, but I do not see the national inflection point that many others see. It is why I think presidential unforced errors can be so consequential.

48% approval for Trump is very high for him, and he was still +5, those are solid numbers. We are still seeing record high right track numbers come in. You are right about real kryptonite, it is without question the economy, but there is no slippage with the public perception of the direction of the country at this point.

The same way you protect the propane fuel cells in the MANY propane powered cars and trucks on the road today; many delivery services use propane vehicles and have for years.

The real problem with Hydrogen is the fuel itself.

That is one issue.... I remember the Ukrainians found a Toyota Mirai(hydrogen) in the various destroyed vehicles from the war and took the Hydrogen fuel cells from the vehicle and added a charge of C4 to the fuel cell and came up with a REALLY effective bomb.... so effective they started hunting these cars down and exhausted the supply.

The other issue with hydrogen is the that most hydrogen fuel is produced through electrolysis; which requires a massive amount of electricity.
Thanks to our wacky Governor in Colorado, the local wildlife officers were forced to take their shortbox trucks to a shop and get converted to propane. The tank took up 1/3 of a shortbox pickup. Not too useful! They were all pissed.

Trump will convene a meeting with his national security advisory team on March 3rd, to discuss the possibility of cutting off aid to the Ukraine.

I'll get the popcorn ready.......
Help me out here. Zelenskyy was clumsy in the meeting (though we should remember English is his third and newest language and his hosts were not being considerate in this respect). But when in the meeting did Zelenskyy say he wasn’t ready to sign the head agreement today? Timecode?

The meeting went off the rails and I think that was one outcome Trump and Vance had up their sleeves. That is, it was an ambush.

To me that is the definition of underhand and going back on his word. Last week he lied to the face of a foreign leader in the Oval Office. I can’t understand why anyone would want to be in business with him or want him representing them. I’ve always envied your political system in that your electoral college gives power to all of the states where as our elections are routinely called when Ontario votes leaving half of our country only to decide majorities or minorities. That said I’m not sure a two party system is the ultimate answer either.

My biggest worry isn’t actually the tariffs right now it’s the looming Canadian election and the fact that your president does more to damage our conservative parties chances every time he speaks to a camera that foreign interference ever could. Conservatives have lost 16 points in the polls in the weeks sense trump has taken power.

Our opinions and observations are starting to converge now… little to nothing I can disagree with there…

No doubt Trump is a rough and tumble business broker.. he will go to extremes to include being intentionally misleading or deceitful to achieve leverage…

Just last week when he was questioned about calling Zelenskyy he acted like he had no idea what the reporter was talking about.. he questioned it and asked “did I say that?” Knowing full well that he did..

It’s all part of the theatrics and selling fantasy or fear to the opposition that he’s been telling everyone about since 1987…

Not agreeing with it..

Just observing that it’s been true for his entire adult life…

That’s a concern I have as well..

Canadas politics aren’t really my business… but I think Canada could really benefit from a conservative PM in several ways… both externally and internally… and would be much more likely to have success working with Trump..

But he may well be tanking conservative chances in Canada with his current moves..

All you need now then is for the Democratic Party to elect Vince McMahon and trump can relive his glory days. Rename the two parties raw and smack down and televise the proceedings on payperview debt will be paid in no time.

Could be theatrics to force Zelinskyy's hand, or the Republicans could be getting weary of Ukraine and the b.s.
Trump could very well kick the Ukrainian can down the road for someone else to deal with?

That’s the beauty about technology, it always advances. Just because we don’t have an answer for that that, doesn’t mean that it won’t be a viable solution in the future. There’s no reason to LIMIT the amount of energy sources we have available to us. Every source, be it hydrocarbons, nuclear, solar, wind, etc all have their own pros and cons,

Edit: I am a powerstroke driving oil sands worker. Who grew up raising cattle and planting crops.
Bring back the Pinto and put it in the rear...

Really? :) Zelenskyyyyy has spent the last 3 years jet setting around the world meeting with movie stars, dignitaries and world leaders like a rock star, hero and savior of world democracy with everyone kissing his ring and stepping on each other for a selfie. He expected that again but it did't quite work out that way.

I don't believe people should agree with me. I believe you and I are on the same page in this respect. People should assess carefully prepared and responsibly presented analysis, from a multiple of sources depending on the importance of the matter, and decide on what their actions will be. I used this process to advise my government. Not enough people follow this method though. They keep listening to news that suits their mood, in echo chambers. Not good. Nor is having leaders who surround themselves with sycophants and loyalists, as per Putin in Russia and now Trump in the US.

Socialism is a word Americans use for what everyone else calls cooperation.

If you're not seeing clear information about rapidly increasing temperatures and the effects, you might be in an echo chamber.

What am I doing? At the personal level, through design and effort our household uses a fraction of the energy, water and fuel compared with our neighbours. My wife and I went blue-water sailing after retiring. That helped us hone our skills in conserving resources. Our adult children see the point and cooperate (sorry, that should be socialismate).

At a community level, I am developing a platform which will encourage and enable city dwellers to personally contact and sponsor farmers, who will plant trees in their name. City folk will be able to personally offset carbon emissions they cannot presently avoid, such as from air travel or driving classic cars. Having a tree or many with your name on it will mean more to people than paying a random, voluntary or mandatory carbon offset charge. Farmers will have a new source of income, from the payments and from the timber down the track. Some farmers will find it more lucrative than running cattle or sheep, especially when manufactured meat disrupts the livestock industry and rural land prices fall. Ooof.

Leading by example? Perhaps.
Does this mean you oppose cattle and sheep?

It's official. Trump has paused all aid to the Ukraine.
Now everyone can act like Trump just butchered puppies on live television.

Yes really. The jet setter you despise spends a great deal of time at the front with his troops. These are four of numerous examples. How is Vladimir, who I assume you admire, doing inspiring his legions as they continue to commit the tactical equivalent of mass suicide as a result of his uncaring orders.

No, but he did just consign a yet to be determined number of civilians and military personnel to their deaths. I assume it was because the badly attired little man had the simple courage to tell the emperor Trump he had no clothes. The decision sickens me.

Ukrainian blood is on Putins hands, and nobody else's.

Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
To much to political shit, to little Africa :-)
Spending a few years hunting out west then back to Africa!

I doubt you are interested in any trades but I was getting ready to list a Sauer 404 3 barrel set in the 10-12 price range if your interested. It has the 404J, 30-06 and 6.5 Creedmoor barrel. Only the 30-06 had been shot and it has 7 rounds through it as I was working on breaking the barrel in. It also has both the synthetic thumbhole stock and somewhere between grade 3-5 non thumbhole stock
