"Time is on the side of change" - Ruth Bader GinsburgThey all have constituencies which have essentially told term limit reformers like you and others to pound sand every election. How do you propose to enact such a change without the votes?
Simply put... in the next 10 years many of them will not be with us anymore and it's simply a waiting game; let god bring on their term limit and once out of office, then instate the term limits just like after FDR.
However when it comes to the Democrats, they seem to be letting the age issue bring on the demise of their own power.
Name a single Democrat waiting in the wings that has even 50% of Obama's political savvy and speaking skill?
The likes of Pelosi & Feinstein have sucked the oxygen out of the room for so long its created a hole in the upcoming generation and created their own problems relating to young voters.
Even Ruth Bader Ginsburg brought on troubles to the leftists by refusing to leave, she could have retired under Obama but just couldn't let go of the power; much like I believe Sotomayor at the age of 80 and with type II diabetes, will do the same.
