Politics

Turns out Rev. Mariann Budde, the lesbian spiritual leader of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington. That scolded Trump for enforcing our immigration laws.

Brought in millions of taxpayer dollars to the Diocese for helping to give sanctuary for illegals.
Not that I’m trying to protect her, but she is married to a man named Paul Budde.

Since aviation has been major topic lately here's a couple of Youtube videos to watch. If I could choose, here is the type pilot I want! Experience, attitude and demeanor. skill and training. I think Captain Ugyen Dema of Druk Air Bhutan has 10,000 +/- hours. She is one of only a handful qualified into Paro Bhutan. Airbus A319/320s are the primary passenger jets into Paro. One video shows approach and landing in clear conditions and one shows approach and landing in rain.

Very similar to landing at Tegucigalpa’s International Airport. Definitely requires a special qualifications.

Stepping out of the airport onto the streets of Tegus is the only thing more dangerous :)

The little steakhouse that’s across from the Marriott makes it worth it though:)

First time that I can remember in my life where an American President acknowledges the rights of Afrikaners and other European settlers.

It is fun being in a dialogue with folks who share certain experiences.

Wow, it’s about time somebody stood up for them!

President Trump chose the wrong word when he said "disinfectant". Just that. Wrong word. Fortunately, no one on this site has ever done that. .....FWB

Trump standing up for white farmers in SA

Almost in tears after reading this news. Best president in our lifetime. Communists worldwide will get the message. Hopefully things are turning also in Europe. There is a shift going on.

The Snowden conundrum is just that. He betrayed his clearance by telling the US public that the NSA was monitoring/spying on huge swaths of our citizens. Not only those talking to bad actors outside the US as we were told.

So in the future when the potential technology he had exposed is ancient news. And personal freedom is almost gone. Due to AI abilities, cameras everywhere, digital currency. And governments viewing citizens as subjects and criminals.

He will definitely be viewed differently. When it’s obvious the only group really harmed by him were the people calling him a traitor.

The flip side is. The public needs to be able to trust that its government and military has their best interests in mind. That we don’t need to know everything they do on our behalf. And how. We give our trust. And if too many Snowden’s are leaking our programs to foreign enemies the public loses trust.

It’s the same serious issue with the public losing trust in the justice system. If that slippery grip is lost. We live in anarchy and chose which rules to follow.

Then we are all called politicians

It’s interesting the question always starts with Snowden the informant rather than the US government.

For sure, the US gov’t was a traitor. They were using technology illegally against US citizens within our borders and lying about it. They were also using quid pro quo with the Five Eyes to domestically eavesdrop by having foreign powers do it for us, and us to do it for them.

Whether Snowden was a traitor or not is up for more debate, but the gov’t certainly was, yet there is less talk about the misdeeds than there is about the whistleblower. Should Snowden have given up trying to whistleblow when he exhausted his legal avenues to do so? Who knows?

Should the US citizen be delighted that these illegal activities by our government came to light? Absolutely.

Would I have snitched out the US gov’t in a similar role? Definitely not, I would have spent more energies finding lawful means to escalate the concerns in a classified manner. His concerns would have eventually been heard, it might have taken a decade to get the concerns to the right desk in the right administration.

Yes, but attempting to find the “lawful” means may have had you end up like Seth Rich. They weren’t after Snowden because they thought he was a traitor - they were after him because he exposed their wrongdoing and they didn’t like it!

If you think that was cringe worthy; then you better check out the dumpster fire that was an MSNBC live panel @ DNC.

MSNBC is not used to working with a live audience of Democrat voters and it shows….

Trust me it’s worth 17min of your life to watch this video in its entirety.
Wow! What a clusterf***. The only thing missing were the wearing of togas and they could have re created the party scene from the movie “Animal House” with the audience shouting “Toga! Toga!”. LOL

A random article I just ran across. I wonder if an all male crew would get late identity releases and such careful and flattering wording all across the media.

Most likely due to the anti-DEI attacks. Heck, at first they named a trans soldier as the third person.

A friend’s daughter recently graduated West Point and got the billet she wanted, to train as an Apache pilot. Originally I thought it was Blackhawk and reached out to him just in case and he corrected me.
I know this lady and have no doubt she will be a very capable pilot and a leader irrespective of her gender. Heck, she was already beating many men in handgun competitions as a teen.

Calling everyone that is not a White male a DEI hire regardless of qualifications is a step too far in the other direction.

Donalds toll medicine did not work in the past..

It appears to be working for now..

Every country he has threatened with tarrifs at this point has come straight to the negotiating table and started to back off their positions on other issues in order to avoid the tariff…

Not sure how long this angle of attack will work.. but he seems to be getting what he really wants for now (fair trade as opposed to an actual tariff)…

Actually this will hurt South Africans including the whites regardless what the context is.
Rand lost %2 after he made the comment.
On a side note there's a party in the South African government coalition supported by whites first time since the apartheid ended.

While I agree with you, Wall Street doesn't like it. Futures are down sharply today. The economy and people's savings are going to take a pounding if the tariffs drag out any length of time.

Out of all the different color variations of Impala the black Impala just stands out with its beautiful pitch black hide.

Impala is one of the animals you will see all over Africa.
You can see them in herds of a 100 plus together.

This excellent ram was taken with one of our previous client this past season.
