Or it is a tool like everything else. I could ride a horse everywhere, but choose a car because it is more efficient.

As far as growing potatoes goes, I asked Chatgpt and it said.
I think you got it down good for potatoes, except for potatoe bugs, your city issued permit to have a garden ,no larger than 10x15 .The labor intensity of foremention project. and water, where is the water in ca? The devil in the details, where is a cool dry spot?
Oh and chatgpt not even up on that one.

The USSC will agree that the 14th amendment was written for Ex slaves. But I predict they will not side with Trumps EO.

I am guessing the discussion will be around what do they do with the millions of people born her to non citizens for decades. They will let it ride.

Trump can say he tried
I very much dagga but that anyone that has already been classified as a US citizen will have their citizenship revoked. What could happen is that babies born in the future will be classed as their mothers are at the time of birth. Even legal aliens with temporary work visas children would not be citizens.

You were asking about how to grow potatoes. I got you the answer in seconds. Labor, location is a different story.

AI has its place. It will provide you with information, the implementation is up to you. All I can tell you is that we have saved tens of thousands of dollars of engineering time by using it for our purposes. For the guy that lives in Podunk, USA, it has no practical use.

When I think of AI, I'm torn between 2 probable futures.

Option A- high productivity on academic, clerical, and non-physical work

option B- the legacy of the Segway scooters.

Like AI, we were told the segway would be a life altering product that would redefine the future. (Redefine the future no less!!!)
"Don't you want to be onboard an investment opportunity like Jeff Bexzos?" The hype was relentless.

Instead, all I remember is that stupid photo of "W" falling off one of them. He looked like a real douche.

Jennifer Anniston was once labeled as the sexiest woman in Hollywood. Why in the hell would she hook up with a P.O.S like Obama?
I doubt if it's true, but then again Sam Elliot did an ad for Harris telling guys to vote "like a man, and vote for a woman."

I had always enjoyed his acting, but now I can't watch one of his movies.

IMO, outside of business/technical applications, if the average consumer doing average things and would have to PAY for AI, it'll go the way of cable tv. There are too many FREE things out there that a consumer can use to solve everyday problems, issues and answer questions.

It won't be option B, I can promise you that. It's already established. As for me personally I don't care, too close to retirement to worry about that it won't be Option A, it already is. If I had a fear, too many CEOs / executives who couldn't engineer themselves out of wet paper bag are already or will be seeing it as a replacement for engineers.

It will certainly improve the productivity of engineers and I think it will change the job to allow them to focus more on innovation.

Interesting bit of dialogue about some of Trump's choices from the "news" propaganda wing of the Kremlin. They seem happy.

That would be me. Heavy traffic is more than 3 antelope, the wife had 5 bull elk run in front of her car last night 2 miles from home. I can understand your use of it.

on another subject, according to REFORMCALIFORNIA.ORG TONITE trump is withholding all federal funds from CA. for maybe up to 90 days due to lack of cooperation for his mandates of water ect.

You left out Option C-The Terminator and The War of the Machines :A Too Cool:

Interesting analysis by Zeihan on the President's EO designating cartels as terrorist organizations. I would be curious to hear if our resident legal scholars would agree that the EO has the unintended effect of granting legal asylum to almost 200 million migrants.

I’m not an expert in either geopolitics or macro economics… but there are more holes in that than a screen door…

I typically like Zeihan…

But lately I’m left wondering if he’s not intentionally stretching trying to gain or retain audience…

Or wondering if he’s simply jumped the shark and decided this is a better path for himself..

He's full of Sh*t. I am sure my brethren will certainly give it the college try, but no cigar for all of Mexico and Central America.

I agree. His whole schtick seems to have shifted over the last few months, especially since the election. He doesn't even attempt to appear unbiased on all things Trump.

I should say.. that while I am not an expert in geopolitics… I do know quite a bit about the subject Zeihan is talking about..

My firm has been deeply involved in counter narcotics and counter narco terrorism operations in every country in Central America with the exception of Nicaragua for the past 12+ years.. we’ve had people inside every embassy and also conducting field operations alongside both USG officials and local national militaries and law enforcement.. and have had both US attorneys and Central American attorneys working on court reform, prison reform, and legislative reform related to narco terrorism specifically in Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, and Panama…

Zeihan clearly is speculating from a position of no first hand knowledge or understanding of what is really going on in the region, what those countries legal systems look like, or how our immigration asylum laws actually work

I'll let @spike.t provide any details he wishes, but paging through the critical support AID provides in just Zambia, I suspect we are all likely to find Africa a far less welcoming and far more Sino-centric place to try and spend a few days hunting in the not too distant future.

Unintended consequences aside, the end game (among many other outcomes) is the use of direct actions against them using tier 1 personnel. There are 2 camps to this, and it really boils down to a blend of both.

1) The cartels will likely experience a violence like they've never seen. I think, personally, they will be tasked alongside ICE/DEA/ATF for domestic direct-actions. This is the likely scenario. The categorization of them allows that, if not permissible, already. We already know that active tier 1 and PSC tier 1's in the past have been used alongside the 3 letters. If anything, it makes it more flexible in terms of ROE and applications.

Foreign, in-country...that's actually a big line to cross. High altitude insertions/in-fils, targeted raids/roll-ups/eliminations, etc. I think that's probably the line before they need to or commit to air assets. At that point, with air assets, that's a big, big line to cross. You're not talking guys walking around with small arms and stuff like that. These guys have technicals with 50 cals, RPG's, frags, and rumor is there are even SAMs and other MANPADS.

What exactly do you do if a team gets pinned down by heavy fire? Let them fight, likely to the death? Or call in air assets? If you call in air assets on a bordering nation...that's a big, big statement.

2) OPSEC and PERSEC are major issues. We've know the intel ops surrounding the cartels is a leaky ship, at best, here in the USA. CBP, ICE, ATF, DEA, and other agencies and agents have been compromised. The sad reality is that the cartels will likely be tipped off.

This is going to be an interesting one, to say the least.
