First part about demand is true. That’s why during the financial crisis of 2008 they were almost zero.
Second part is not so much.
According to many studies done by independent organizations illegal immigration because of the wealth effect it creates is either a very small negative or a very small positive depending how you look at it (Cheap, exploited labor makes companies more money so they pay more taxes)
As far as universities there are plenty of available seats if your kids deserve and can pay for it or are you talking about legal foreign students who pays the highest tuition and a great income source for them?

nothing to do deserving it, has much to do with the color of your skin or where you are from, unless your white then you dont deserve it, oh wait theres a new sheriff in town, things might change to merit based deserving it.

China may be closing the gap in technology by stealing it from others. BUT !

They can’t steal 80 years of US aircraft carrier seamanship skills. And hundreds of years of Naval warfare knowledge. We have decades of knowledge handed down and our Navy ship captains have hard earned lessons learned that China can not steal.

Carriers are very hard to sink. They are far from obsolete. Especially when you ad the whole naval strategy. Submarine warfare, traditional surface ship warfare and now space warfare.

Not to mention the very capable nations fleets that would be sailing with us.

Who would China have beside them at sea North Korea?

What Ukraine did to the Russian fleet would pale in comparison to how fast the Chinese fleet would be in Davy Jones Locker if they went toe to toe with our Navy
