The coach, yeah, you didn't want any of that! The principal, well, after helping him avoid the game warden down on the river where the principal was illegally running hoop nets--we had a get out of jail free card....
Many seem to have lost sight of the great truths written in "Lord of the Flies."The problem started when the government took away the rights of a parent to discipline their child. I remember my son at 7 years of age telling me that if I spanked him, he would call the police. This was 33 years ago. I remember giving him an extra ass whooping for what he said, and I called the police. The police officer played along with me, and said he was going to take him and lock him up for misbehaving. That little sh*t about sh*t his pants, and guess what? The last time he tried to play that card with me.
Parents must be parents at home and not depend on the schools to discipline their kids. Also, parent must take responsibility for the actions of their kids and accept that their child is not a saint. My wife works at a pre-school, and it's amazing how many parents are shocked when they find out their kids misbehaved, and they claim, "they don't do that or act like that at home". BS!!!!
TV shows, internet, phones, tablets, are all contributors to the decay of children. How many times you'll see a 2-year-old on a stroller with mom's or dad's phone?
How many on here remember the Paddle with the holes the principles used on our asses? Well, here we are, and I believe we turned out ok after all. Oh, and don't get me started on Catholic school discipline.

At my HS, the last thing you wanted was to be sent to Brother John's office.Yeah, our school had a heavy leather paddle with holes drilled in it. Experience that once and you will go out of your way to avoid it in the future.
Exactly the same, my daughter told me that when she was 9 years old.I remember my son at 7 years of age telling me that if I spanked him, he would call the police.
Of course, parents could also take responsibility for their children and not allow them on social media until they have the appropriate level of maturity to deal with it. I know, it’s a crazy idea.
Even worse they toke the ruler away from the teachers. It doesthe take kids long to figure out the old teacher can't touch them either. The problem started when the government took away the rights of a parent to discipline their child. The rats are trying to make all that money disappear before DOGE is unleashed on them.Well, Sun. Dec. 15th on Fox channel "Life, Liberty & Levin" show Levin had a rant on last minute stash the cash government spending to sabotage Trump and fund leftist projects. $10 billion Iran sanction WAIVER, 37 billion on clean energy program funding/grants, Dec. 12 authorizations of 735 million for development of "clean energy heavy duty vehicles", 335 million on forest conservation (through the USDA?!)
This in addition to an earlier AH posted video of an EPA employee saying they were "throwing gold bricks off the deck of the Titanic" as an "insurance policy against Trump." Said employee stated that he had gotten rid of 2 billion, mostly to NGOs which couldn't be clawed back as easily as governmental agency dollars, and had 8 billion to go before inauguration. WTH!
How can this corruption be stopped? And don't even get me started on selling off the border wall materials!
My 8th grade teacher had an 18" ruler in her desk. If someone acted up, out came that ruler. The next thing you heard was a solid whack up side someone's head, no questions asked. She'd patrol that room with that ruler in her hand and did not hesitate to use it. One application was all it took.At my HS, the last thing you wanted was to be sent to Brother John's office.
My HS went from 8th to 12th grades. I had Brother Carl for 8th grade English. He smacked me in the back of the head once for behaving like a typical 13 yo. That smack saw me through another 4 and a half years of not needing to be hit again.
