For what it's worth, the Melania thing is bullshit by the way... Made up.. Fake news by MSM media and Twitter-twits stirring the pot..
There is no doubt that Trump is losing favor with many (including myself) who love his policies, will forever appreciate the movement he created, and the
MANY great thing he has done for the country that would
NEVER have occurred with a "republican" like a McCain or Romney at the helm.. You may wish to forget or deny that but I will not.. That said, Trump's antics now are hurting the America-first cause. I am disappointed, disillusioned, and confused by what he has done over the last few days.. All conservatives must stand united if we are to prevail. Furthermore, if we are being honest about the need for a united conservative front, I would say to those who would point their finger at Trump must also acknowledge the damage inflicted by the likes of the McCain's, Romney's, Cheney's, Kinzinger's and McConnell's, and every other swamp establishment republican and/or apologist who has undermined the America-first agenda over the last 6 years..
I also believe that too much blame for the shortcoming of the republicans in this election is being heaped on Trump, and not nearly enough blame is being set where it belongs which is on voter stupidity along with the dem's superior ability to game the system. Blaming Trump is the easy thing to do for sure, but it's also short-sighted and naïve.. If the country was indeed willing to vote against their own prosperity and security because they didn't like the idea that Trump endorsed the republican candidate, that is nothing short of moronic.. Since, voter stupidity is much harder to correct in the short term, the republicans better learn to fight fire with fire because it looks as if early voting, mail-in voting, ballot harvesting, and optional debating is here to stay..
The reality is that the reasons for the shortcomings of some of these candidates was multi-faceted, but I don't buy into the bullshit argument that these candidates were rejected because they were not quality options for voters.. Lee Zeldin was by far a higher quality candidate that Hochul as was Tudor Dixon over Whitmer, Laxalt over Kelley, Lake over Hobbs.. And Oz compared to Fetterman? Pleeeeaaase! Any Pennsylvanian who voted for this guy is an idiot plain and simple. The idea that Oz lost to that human caricature because of his Trump endorsement is nonsense.. The lone fact that any of these republican candidates were NOT a democrat should have been more than enough reason for any sane human being to reject the massive democrat-created failures in this country. Ironically, it seems the dems are miserable failures at everything they touch except running elections. Since 2020, they are playing chess while the republican party is playing checkers.. If they don't figure this out, we have surely forsaken the future of the America-first dream.
@Red Leg , I disagree with you on Trumps' legacy in that I think it has yet to be determined. As you know, history is written by the victors.. If conservatives find some way to take back this country and manage to restore the republic for next several decades, I think Trump's accomplishments are looked upon by posterity with great appreciation and favorability. If we continue the slide into socialism, and real fascism then you are correct Trump will be painted as the villain.
