I take exception to the post re Social Security being a Ponzi scheme. It is true that those near retirement age when it was initiated benefitted more than the amount they had paid into it; however as initially set it would have been self-funding. The problem is that same as with any government program that has cash on hand- politicians find a place to spend it in their never-ending pursuit to claim voters' loyalty. With a fund that was flush with cash politicians expanded the Social Security Administration to include all sorts of welfare, housing subsidies- you name it and the govt would pay for it under one of the SSA's several Titles- particularly with those politicians who are career politicians.

These SS funds were never segregated, but only on paper, so the actual $$ paid by the employee and employer were commingled and spent. An IOU to all recipients financed by future generations. Means testing for future payouts is on the Horizon, already exist with Medicare. Warren Buffet receives a monthly check, just like Aunt Nellie who tries to live on her $1100.

I am thinking the Lion King is deeper than just a children’s show. This when hurts a little bit.

If they are able to raid it, it IS a Ponzi scheme. Corporations were prohibited from screwing with retirement programs, until Uncle Sam showed them the light. Even poor Chileans have a great retirement with their social security program, because it cannot be raided. Who is kidding who?

Steve Bannon sentenced to 4 months in prison for contempt of congress.

What is the statue of limitations on contempt? I'm asking for Eric Holder.

We wouldn't be in this position, if the Republican leadership wasn't spineless, and castrated.
Free pending appeal.

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...
Behind the scenes of taking that perfect picture.....

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
