Well, except for that Gay Pride Parade I saw on Patch Barracks this year, and of course the changes to the CNO reading list, and, of course there's the Air Force pronoun thing and...
Yes, Civilian Control. But I promise you that there are some strange things afoot at the Circle K.
I've read that book 4 or 5 times. This quote is always in the back of my mind.
In order to help diffuse the quickly escalating situation with Nancy Pelosi's trip to Taiwan, with China threatening to shoot down her plane if it is escorted with fighters, we need some real statesmanship. Need to look for a win-win, face saving exit ramp. If Pelosi's plane is shot down, I am willing to forgive, but not forget. I would immediately send the VP to Taiwan on a fact finding mission. If the VP is shot down, better send AOC next.
l already pointed out that the Guardian was pro Ukrainian, l agree with you seeing them as nothing but a filthy lefty rag at best that do not care about the common people of Ukraine but as l said "they back Ukraine", they go against principles l have including telling the truth but l am happy to be proven wrong if you can post up an article from the Guardian that actually shows they are pro Putin in this nato proxy war, l dare ya LOLAs a point of order, the Guardian is a lefty rag of the highest order. They care nothing for the conflict in Ukraine or the people there. That article is a thinly veiled attack during against Boris and his conservative cabinet in the hopes of further hurting the conservatives before the next elections.
so l dont get your attack?Bullshit...you are listening/Russian figures that they are giving for their economy....it is actually getting hammered....some people need to get a grip on reality....also after early strength the rouble is now I believe the worst performing currency against the usual standard safe currencies....it was only strong due to the Russian central putin bank who controlled the foreign currency transactions...now that's not working in their favour....

Amen, Brother. I went in the Navy in 1960 and we were treated like men, pushed, ridiculed, run ragged beyond what we thought was possible and we all survived. But that was back when males were men, not some perverted freak like today.Back in the 80's I heard new recruits were being issued 3x5 cards to be kept in their to blouse pocket. It was called a stress card. Whenever a trainee felt stressed by the drill sergeant. The trainee would pull out his/her stress card and the drill sergeant would have to leave the trainee. Drill sergeant were also hampered from raising their voices in intimidating trainees.
I got first hand experience of this new basic training doctrine when I was assigned as Company Commander to a One Station Unit Training (OSUT) Unit at Fort Jackson, South Carolina in the mid 90's. The drill sergeants under my command knew I was "old school", having gone through basic training in 1976. Thus they insured I didn't go "old school" on a momma's boy, POS trainee, that required lessons in being a man.
It was also my first procedural experience in expediting a trainee back to civilian life for the good of the Army; 2 weeks at Replacement Depot, first day of boot camp, voluntary request to leave the Army; within 72 hours he was processed out, given an General Discharge under Honorable Condition and a ticket home.
Now there is this weakening of the Army Physical Fitness Test so these new weak, and/or overweight, easily hurt feelings, easily offended, don't know their gender, POSs wannabe soldiers that can't handle the real training it takes to be a soldier want the military to conform to their weak lazy ass standards so they can complete basic training and claim they earned their right to be a soldier.
I say BS!!! Push-ups are meant to build upper strength. Running is meant to build endurance. Other exercises are designed to build up and maintain body muscles and strength needed for the battlefield/ Area of Operations. The mental abuse in Basic Training, and later long hours, sleep deprivation, continued during with a soldier's parent unit is to build comarodarie, cohesiveness, professionalism, and experience that only soldiers/ sailors/ airmen can relate to that civilians and the civilian world will never comprehend or understand.
End of this rant.
The stress cards came out in the '90s. I think it was '93, I'd have to go back and check my notes.Back in the 80's I heard new recruits were being issued 3x5 cards to be kept in their to blouse pocket. It was called a stress card. Whenever a trainee felt stressed by the drill sergeant. The trainee would pull out his/her stress card and the drill sergeant would have to leave the trainee.
