Deja vu all over again. I put in 40 crepe myrtles, 80 wax myrtles, and a dozen purple robe locusts in February - improving the inner boundary around the place. I have been watering every 48 to 72 hours since. I run the well dry at least once a week (we only use it for ag). So far, they are surviving, but it is wearing me down, and the jury is out whether or not I will. We have not had a drop since mid-April.

My farmer has yet to harvest the corn - probably hoping a passing motorist will throw out a cigarette butt. With yields running less than half of last year, prices around the same and diesel 2X, it will likely cost him more to harvest than it is worth.

I wish we could ship you some of our water. Crazy wet year in Bama. I put in another 15 acres of longleafs and around a Thousand Oaks this winter. So far close to 100% survival.

On my monthly trip to Columbus Texas for a day of long range shooting, I noticed on 2 Jul that all of the corn along Hwy 90 between Rosenberg and Eagle Lake was burned, and only about 3' tall. The sorghum all still looks good, but the corn is looking like a total loss this year.

The cotton and beans don't look too bad, a bit small for this time of year, but still alive.

Think elon thought Twitter was a lost cause
IDK about that. Musk is playing 4D chess while the idiots running twitter are playing tiddly-winks. Wouldn't surprise me at all if Musk wants to be sued, and then settle for even less than the $44B

I mean, just think about it. Twitter will want to settle. If this thing were to go to trial, then discovery would show all of the shenanigans they've been up to for the last several years WRT bots and other fake accounts; and God only knows what else. There will be a boat-load of dems who will get tangled up in all of that, I'd bet

He's got them over a barrel, and they're so blind in their arrogance, I expect they don't have a clue.

Cattle are being taken to auction at a lighter weight, closer to 300 than 600 pounds. Round bails of coastal are going through the roof at $140.00 a bail and getting harder to find. Biden said he was going to reduce our intake of red meat, well for the townies I suppose, for us out i. The boon docks we don’t buy meat any way. But still have to feed it.

“The Time It Never Rained” by Elmer Keaton is fictional book about how the drought from 1950 to 1955 affected life in Texas.

Some of China's financial problems rising to the surface. The CCP has been keeping a lid on the pot the last year but in places the pot may be starting to boil. China's banks and real estate are coming closer to a day of reckoning.

Appears China has the same ethics as some of the free world banks- that is, rip off the small investors to keep the large holders intact, until that fails, then go to the govt for a bail-out.

If Twitter's SEC filings regarding bots are fraudulent, there are executives and board members on the hook. If the sell doesn't go through due to fraudulent bot counts, stockholders will be suing.

D&O insurance doesn't cover fraud.

There are some Twitter executives and directors pissing goatheads at the moment.

There is a band of black dirt that runs through Texas. It starts NE of Dallas and runs SW. this dirt when it dries out will crack. I put 8 foot 2x4 board into one of these cracks to see how deep it went. I lost the board. In another case I dropped a wrench into one of these drought cracks. I could see it but

And I hope Dorsey is pissing sea urchins!

We live on the black prairie northeast of Austin. We have those enormous cracks everywhere. It is why every stone wall has to be securely and broadly footed with concrete or else it will crack and lean within a couple of years.

we call it "gumbo." hard as effing concrete when dry, gooey mess when it gets saturated.

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!
