I watched TV, read the public and forums, laughed at the fakes. As far as I can tell, the situation mirrors the war in Yugoslavia. But the weapons are more accurate now, so I think this time the Chinese embassy will survive.
There is a growing feeling that there are some agreements with the West regarding maximum security. Apparently, the West was generally warned about the operation, in two stages. At first, in general terms - that's why embassies were evacuated to Western Ukraine, and civilian flights were limited only over the East. But in the last two days, apparently, it was said that military actions would not be limited to the East - therefore, military advisers evacuated to Poland. The reasons are clear - no one needs losses among Americans, this will complicate the situation. But the price of this is the loss of the surprise factor.
In general, society approves of the war, there is criticism: Western sympathizers are protesting, radicals are wondering why they had to endure 8 years of artillery shelling of cities with millions. But the joy of the cessation of these attacks, as well as the restoration of the Crimea water supply, outweighs it.

I just pray this ends quickly, and that people keep their heads. 1 mistake from 1 person in the next couple of days can alter the future of humanity, 1 bad call from some NATO major on the ground near their border, 1 bad call from some NATO ship commander to fire on a Russian ship... and this becomes a very different conflict that I honestly don't think any sane person wants.

The one thing Biden could do that would simultaneously cripple Russia, support our allies and help the American consumer is to reverse all of his “green” edicts that are hindering our production of energy. Green light the Keysone XL pipeline. Open public lands to petroleum and natural gas exploration and production. Frack it up! It doesn’t matter where the energy is consumed. Putting it on the market lowers the global price. Putin‘s desire to rebuild the Soviet Union would hit a wall if petroleum drops low enough.

If there was a Pulitzer Prize category for journalists (or WH Press Secretary) constantly having to spin piles of excrement into cotton candy, Psaki would win that category hands down. She is very talented at what she does, even with the jaw dropping “I can’t believe she just said that” statements she frequently blurts out. But, she and the Democrats continue to attempt spinning one blunder after another in their favor without EVER criticizing Brandon and his constant FUps and believe we are all to stupid to see through all their BS. They’ll get an enormously rude awakening come the mid terms this November. I can’t wait!

If Trump were still president the US petroleum industry would be thriving, the price of oil would be cheap and the Russian Thug couldn't afford to take military action- so to answer the question: if Trump was President there would be no war happening now- either in Ukraine or shortly in Taiwan.
