I spend a lot of time trying to analyse and understand the liberal mind, and the democrats are a good starting case in point. They believe that the world is on a collision course with oblivion in one way or the other - population, carbon production, insufficient energy, etc. They see an urgent need to change things, so their ideal world has:
No cars, just public transport.
Fewer people or a zero growth (nice idea, but tell it to the third world, good luck.)
No private homes, just small apartments in huge eco buildings.
Highly compliant populations that simply do as they are told, and fit the model.

And many more.

The only one of these that I am in sync with is the need for a stable global population.

What the liberals don't factor in is that the world evolves in sophistication to solve problems. Today on this globe we are more than able to generate all the energy we need. Agriculture is ever advancing too. But instead they use potential or imagined problems way in the future to drive their imperative for control now. They get into political power, sort of, and try to implement all their ideals, this minute, before the others win again and set the world on fire. They are royally shooting themselves in the foot because their knee-jerk reactions like unnecessarily turning off pipelines and the like put them at odds with the thinking majority who know full well that it just isn't necessary, let alone sensible at this time to do so.

Liberals need to relax, have a less jaundiced view of things, maybe taking up hunting and fishing would help.

I don’t think it is even that complicated. It’s power and money, that’s all they want! They will do anything necessary to achieve that goal. They know the people will not appose them. Throw out a few carrots to the sheep and they are re-elcted. Invent crisis to deflect their agendas and voila, the few have all the power and most of the money!
It’s not just the Demonrats, it is most governing bodies of the world.

I’m beginning to think that covid is the biggest Ponzi scam ever. 385 Billion dollars to the pharmaceutical companies every one else going broke. It’s been pushed every where you turn, lies about death rates and other stuff. Here in Canada the Modelling they use is so far off no one with a brain believes them. I like your insight here on the liberal thought process. The handful of people I know who are on the left of the political spectrum, have two things in common. One, they are knee jerk reactionaries. Ex: There is a shooting somewhere that makes the news and they say "we need more gun control". I counter with, well, the shooter is a convicted felon and can't possess the gun he used anyway! Or, we have a pandemic, so their response is "we need vaccines and booster after booster". I tell them that the boosters may not prevent the latest and greatest virus variant and how many boosters for how many years will be necessary? They tend to "group think" without thinking for themselves. They don't want to investigate the issues. It's easier to go along with whatever the Government and/or their friends on Facebook are thinking/doing. The second thing they have in common, is that they are afraid of EVERYTHING! Ex: My wife's fully vaccinated AND boosted co worker and his wife (boosted too) wouldn't attend her companies Christmas party, because in his words, "there will be too many unvaccinated people there, so we're not going". Really? When in fact, probably 90% attendees were vaccinated because it's a medical provider business. He's the same guy who wears a mask when riding his bicycle. I work with a guy, who has been coming to work with a facemask, vinyl gloves, a head covering and long sleeves while wearing a jacket, since this pandemic kicked off here in March 2020! He wipes everything down everyday with disinfectant wipes. It's insanity and very sad to go through life being afraid of everything and having everyone else choreographing their life for them.

You make some good points. When you think about their "ideals", they are more like crackpot brain farts. Some one of them comes up with some halfwitted scheme and all the rest jump on board and go for it, not thinking about what might be involved in implementing it or analyzing the consequences. Some that come to mind are: taking us off the gold standard, moving Social Security to the general fund, all the welfare boondoggles, health care fiascos, environmental frauds, etc. We all know how these turned out.
As long as stupid people vote for these lamebrains, it will continue and the lamebrains will continue to perpetuate their failures.

These vaccines and all the boosters are totally worthless and ineffective. There are some people in my area who have had all the shots, all the boosters and they still came down with covid recently. It is scare tactics and a money game victimizing all the naive and gullible. They hear, they believe, they follow like the sheep they are without thinking.

Imagine in 1960 trying to feed a population of 1.3 billion people on the African continent. Not possible.

What leftards routinely do not understand is the incrementalism of actual progress (as opposed to the idiotic term "progressive"). Problems which seemed utterly insurmountable 100 or 150 years ago are now simply taken for granted, we don't even notice them anymore. But a kajillion baby steps every day over that time period is still a great distance traveled.
