Have to agree with the above... If someone other than Trump ran on all that Trump ran on then I'd say it would have been 70/30 Republican v Dem split. Can you imagine an articulate non-egotistical person with his policies and independence from the swamp!! That would be the perfect scenario.

I think Trump should be remembered in the future for what he did for America not for his personality. But unfortunately the last month or two has soiled it all. He will be remembered by history for the last two months

All of this talk of civil war in the bloodshed kind- I'm confused. Will those that start it be handing out programs so the participants will know who their friends and enemies are? So far the DemonRats have labeled anyone that supported President Trump as a "White Supremist" and the "good guys" are those that supported Joe Bidet. But those that supported either candidate are not defined along all of the diversity lines that the DemonRats are applying. Members of each of the groups voted differently.

So will they be issuing uniforms or different colored hats?

Since this is not going to happen I don't see a "civil war" as happening and as far as I'm concerned I'll paraphrase David Crocket, I'll go home and the politicians can all go to Hell.
We can argue hypotheticals until we’re blue in the face and obviously discussing details or intent on an Internet forum would be imprudent to say the least. I agree with another member that any conflict here would likely resemble the Balkans of the 90s and not our Civil War.

The enemy would be the unified, centralized federal government and anyone and everyone who would support them through their physical action.

I share the same concern as others concerning the future of this country in the aftermath but we cannot continue the way we have been. All this talk about a totalitarian state as an outcome may be well meaning but I fear that this fear to enter into conflict or even to consider violence as a solution at some point will lead us right into a totalitarian state by peaceful means through inaction.

By all means, stay home. If you want to give up, fine. I’ll remind you that this isn’t the early part of the 19th century and sooner rather than later the Marxists will be at your doorstep.

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.” Samuel Adams

He should have been smarter than this. He is NOT an intelligent man.

Careful folks.. Don't confuse personal character traits like arrogance, vanity, or lack of self-awareness with lack of intellect. Lot's of very smart and powerful people in history have been flawed human beings.

Overall, Trump has proven to be remarkably intuitive with his political instincts over the entire course of the campaign and his subsequent term. Trump was mocked and dismissed as a serious candidate by politicians and pundits on all sides of the political spectrum right up to the moment that he demolished a field of 17 other republican candidates, many of whom were seasoned politicians.

I encourage you to re-watch some of those republican debates. He dominated some smart business people and ran over those career politicians. Admittedly, for as bad as his first debate was with Biden, he ate HRC's lunch every time. Trump controlled and intimidated her at will, while he debated Biden angry... Unfortunately, the wrong Trump showed up that night.

Ann Colter was the ONLY pundit to predict Trump would be the republican nominee, and she based that assertion on the fact that Trump was the only candidate that spoke to and related directly with the forgotten "silent majority" of Americans who were tired of being called, racists xenophobes, and deplorables... Trump recognized it, tapped into it, and created the biggest political movement in recent history. Stupid people are not capable of this... The tragedy of the man is that he has done some brilliant things that have been eclipsed by some reckless emotional reactions.

With everything he did accomplish and with his concern about average Americans, it should have been a landslide

I content it was a landslide.... Trump received 74 million votes that were counted, and who knows how many never got counted.. Trump's 74 million counted votes eclipsed Obama's 69.5 and 65.9 million votes in 2008 and 2012 respectively... For argument's sake, let's set aside any voter fraud allegations and you would still have to believe that Biden, who campaigned from a basement, who's "rallies" couldn't draw flies with free piles of shit, who can't complete a thought or a sentence, who never answered a serious question from a reporter, received 81 million votes? C'mon man...! To answer that in Biden fashion, "Don't piss down my back and tell me the toaster is broken.."

Such a person will still have to be an attention getter but not cross the line like Trump too often did. Desantis?

DeSantis is a Badass! He entered office with an astounding 64% approval rating for his first 3 months in office... Covid has since hurt his numbers, but he is a folk hero in Florida to the many small business owners (my wife included) who would be bankrupt if it were not for DeSantis' allowing small businesses to remain open. He has certainly proven himself time and again to have a set of balls on multiple controversial issues. It will be interesting to see where he goes from here...

I completely disagree..

As @Red Leg , astutely pointed out, Trump is leaving office with a 46% approval rating. That's is an astounding number considering the the media spin of recent events, and the reopening of partisan Kabuki theater that we have seen in the House with impeachment...

Historians write the history, not the politicians.. 74+ million people will again decide if and what place Trump will hold in the future. Go ahead bet against him. You will likely lose that bet.. ;)

I don't know what President Trump will be doing after he leaves office. It appears that BigBozo from NYC is trying to pick a fight with him, so that may give President Trump something to do. If it were me I'd sell off every property in NYC and move across the river or State Line and to quote that slit-eyed snake Build Back Better.

What I am looking forward to are the negotiations that the Bidet or his horse-faced war hero Kerry have with some real leaders such as Xi or even Kim- even the EU for that matter. Talk about a kindergartner dealing with some PhDs. That will be what decides the future of the country - not some domestic turmoil.

Look, losing this election is a bad thing. We need to reorganize and set about undoing it in '22 and everywhere locally in the meantime. The Democrat party will help by overplaying their hand and misreading their "mandate."

We might all also reflect that what you wrote here could be lifted almost word for word from an ANTIFA blog. The quote at the bottom instead would be Che Guevara.
With all due respect, the election was stolen and we let them get away with it. I agree with you on the rest of the first paragraph of your post.

As for the rest of it I don’t regret saying it and that’s that. I have refrained, to the best of my knowledge, from hurling personal insults but your comparing me to a Marxist is unfortunate.

I understand what you are saying and I agree with you to an extent. Totalitarianism is totalitarianism, whether on the left or the right. That said there is a point in government as well as our personal lives where debates cannot be had, arguments cannot be won, concessions cannot be given, where diplomacy is pointless, where the policy of “live and let live” doesn’t cut it.

I fear that we are rapidly approaching such a time. If we’re not already living in it.

My wife and I have been talking about these issues since before Trump won in 2016. While we both voted for him, I never thought he would win due to his personality flaws and unprofessionalism. My wife called it all the way that he would win.

In 2020, we were more on the same page that his chances didn't look good but we both support most of his policies and voted for him again. Due to his lack of self-awareness and seemingly complete lack of any understanding of how he comes across combined with his disregard of appealing to new voters, he didn't win. He should have been smarter than this. He is NOT an intelligent man. It was very important for us all for him to win again but he couldn't get out of his own way. To say I am disappointed in him and his stubborn disregard for common sense campaign strategy is an understatement. With everything he did accomplish and with his concern about average Americans, it should have been a landslide. Even with a biased MSM, I thought possibly even more people would vote for him in 2020 after seeing the mess in our big cities all summer but he did some really stupid things that cost him the election:

1. While he started out doing the COVID daily press conferences in a fairly decent way for a couple weeks, he kept doing them WAY too long and the press conferences turned into the same old message, or worse, every day. He ended up making a fool of himself. He should have just let Pence and the doctors do them after two weeks but his ego and lack of self-awareness got the best of him. The press conferences soon took an ugly turn and he started saying stupid things.

2. His performance at the October debate was ridiculous and completely un-presidential. How in the hell did he not realize what he was doing? COMPLETE lack of self-awareness and how he came across.

3. Same old, same old messaging and talking points at EVERY rally. No appealing to new voters outside of his base. Turned into a self-aggrandizement tour.

What we need now is somebody with most of the same policies but with a brain in their head who is tough enough to talk truth to the biased media but in a smarter and more articulate manner. Such a person will still have to be an attention getter but not cross the line like Trump too often did. Desantis? Maybe. Pompeo? Maybe. Pence? Probably too soft-spoken but a hell of a good man. Josh Hawley? Maybe - he's articulate and smarter than Trump. Liz Cheney? Don't be surprised if she runs. Don Jr.? He would be awesome for us as hunters but now he's kind of followed his father of a cliff and the Trump name is soiled. Damn, I hope someone great emerges.
You stated my feelings exactly only in a more articulate way.

I deleted the post because it could be interpreted as pointing a finger at you personally. That was not my intent. But it is, I believe, absolutely true that the motivation, methodology, and actual end state of the radicalized elements of the far right and far left are the same. The real losers will be the American people.

Understood. No harm done. Whether you believe it or not you and I are in agreement on the vast majority of subjects. (y)

A woman in Texas was just arrested for operating a massive voter fraud operation. Multiply that by thousands of these people across the country, and what do you have?

But hey, voter fraud is just a myth.

i see the authorities are barricading the White House in preparation for the coronation. So would this be done if the elect was as popular as he wants everyone to think he is?

This one is even worse.

Mail in voting is a curse and guarantee of the sort of ballot harvesting (in some states even legal) that Democrats can use to exploit their community organizations. Somehow it needs to end. The Supreme Court today held up a TX decision to not implement universal mail-in voting.

This one is even worse. . .

There is way more to this story, then what being reported, a lot more but I am unable to say or post anything. It is in my County and judicial region.

So....is it worse then reported, or overblown?

Those are for amateurs. I've got over 300 days of total Facebook bans. They owe me a Gold Watch.

I was thinking that they need to give you something special.

I agree. Look at that group Qanon- they think the US is being run by a group of cannibalistic and pedophile elites and Trump is the Messiah who is meant to save and clean the US from them. Apparently this theory had been created by a troll on the internet but some people seem to take it seriously and Ashli Babbitt appears to have been one of them. I never though I'd say this but Qanon makes BLM seem almost normal.
