. . . And you want Donald Trump as your President again...no matter his criminal record..?? And the fact that he is a pathological lier..? And the fact is that he unlawfully took along classified documents after resigning as POTUS..? So non of this matter as long as he is the republican candidate..? Swell..

What criminal record? He does not have one, yet. He did not waive PSI and has not been sentenced, no Judgment.

By the way, you realize that this was a misdemeanor case that the statute of limitations had long expired. The DA used a Federal criminal statute to make a State felony case. That it’s self problematic. Even the felony statute of limitations had expired, but the was extended by a Covid exception, another problem. The DA also used evidence that the US Supreme Court said he has immunity. And the Judge keeps putting off sentencing and has signaled that he might have to grant a Motion for New Trial as the some of evidence presented would be inadmissible.

As far as classified documents he has the power to declassify any documents he pleased while President. There is not any form that is required. You also have the Presidential Records act which would be a defense.

Exactly. She’s basically running as an incumbent and on the policy successes of the Biden/Harris administration. She could make minor adjustments but if they are too wild, her legacy as VP becomes less of a campaign point.

...
Don't forget the media's narrative for Biden economy is that it is great. They also have the facts to point out in that both S&P 500 and Dow Jones average yearly return for the last 4 years have been in double digits. Unemployment also has been going down, and inflation is on a trajectory down.

If these were Trump's numbers, folks here would have the town crier out touting his accomplishments.

Now, 2022 was dismal for all indicators and in regard to economy that is what folks are remembering.

I think the border is a bigger issue and there is really no way it can be explained positively. Also, "hidden fees", "rent control" etc. that Harris is mentioning, while might be appealing to people is really impossible to accomplish in a free economy.

Who cares about a free economy as long as YOU'RE making money, right?
I've seen you trumpet the S&P and the Dow, you needn't care about the bills the little people struggle with.
Unemployment went down til they caught up with the people laid off because of their covid restrictions, minus the ones who were victims of bankruptcy. Where we are now.

Mayor Willie Brown of San Francisco says he had an affair with Harris and helped her career.

Right..and there is Trump´s hush money cases etc. with the porn actress Stormy Daniels and Playboy model Karen McDougal...and all his flattering comments on women in general...yeah hes a good moral boy..

If we gave a damn about who your leader is in Norwhoja, I'm sure we could blab a lot of crap about him too.
But we don't. Just like your opinion of OUR leaders.
Eat Lutfisk!
And pay your 90% taxes. You deserve it.

Re: Trump’s self-announced press conference today at 2 pm: He’s panicking. I’ve seen this play many times. He thinks his team is failing him & no one can speak better/“save” his campaign/defend him but him. He hates the coverage Harris is getting & thinks only he can fix it.

@Saul I don't know you but I like you. That stated, think about this;

Would you rather be around me, a respectable law abiding citizen who may have a concealed handgun, or be around an unpredictable outlaw biker, drug dealer or such, who also may have a concealed handgun?
Obviously, you. However, your metaphor also applies to our allies. Do we want to be the good guy with the gun or the unpredictable rogue?

Which do you think we are?
This matters, your response will be most telling.

Okay @Saul ... Point taken.

How about when others are threatening you and your family with serious physical harm?
Would you want your unstable, dangerous cousin or childhood friend to stand with you?

Trump is no Ronald Reagan or John Kennedy, but very unfortunately he is the best we have. Trump is like the cranky old man next door that one should not piss off and for gosh sake, do not underestimate. He's obnoxious and not to be trusted with any female, but he has your back when bad men threaten you.

Being thought of as unstable, unpredictable, and dangerous is a good thing for a leader facing evil opposition like Putin and Kim. If only Trump would keep his mouth shut!

How did he get out of his contract when his unit was pegged for deployment?
Maybe letting him go was best for all concerned?
Maybe he was a known self serving weasel?

To me he was/is a coward and a deserter. He didn't resign. He signed a contract and failed to honor it.

No one says he’s moral but his affairs didn’t net him political benefits. None of us would be discussing Harris today if she hadn’t used her politically connected lover to get her start.

Just heard that Trump’s plane had to divert into Billings, Montana. Trump was supposed to land in Bozeman, for a rally tonight.

@Bullthrower338 , you are in Billings, reckon you could give The Donald a ride to Bozeman?

I never said Trump was a good moral person. You said: "You can't be serious about her spreading her legs" I gave you an article from her boss saying they had an affair and she got preferential treatment in the jobs he helped line up for her. None of the women you mentioned helped further Trump's career. Willie Brown definitely helped further Harris' career including a job where she reportedly worked two days a week for double her previous salary.

I spend a great deal of time in Europe. It is worth filtering into our conversations with Europeans when discussing US political issues that their information sources are far from balanced. The only "American" news program most Europeans will ever see is CNN International. Obviously, it staunchly reports the progressive view from this country. They can also get the BBC and occasionally Sky News depending on the city and country. The latter is somewhat more balanced when reporting on the US while the BBC tends to mirror the US domestic political leanings of CNN and MSNBC.

Domestic news agencies within Europe are reliably progressive by American standards. For those who can not read "Bild" or "Le Monde," I would urge you to spend a few hours pouring through a few days coverage of US politics by "The Daily Telegraph" or the more erudite "Guardian." All studiously ignore, even disparage, half the US population.

The Guardian has become exceptionally bad over the last few years to the point of self-parody.

Everyone always thinks about the worst thing that can happen, maybe ask yourself what's the best outcome that could happen?
