I do agree with @Tanks , @Red Leg and @Saul that she could win with the full support of the Democratic Party and the media. It’s just scary to me what that would do to the country but in some ways I think the same about another 4 years of Trump but I would rather take a chance with Trump than Harris.

I don't believe that poll that Harris is up over Trump. She polls worst then Biden just last week. IMO the best ticket the D's could have is Newsom and anyone and would landslide Trump. Harris's best chance would be for her to pick Newsom (assuming the D don't have a mini-primary), as he can actually make a complete sentence unlike Harris or Biden.

Apparently there are conservative driven lawsuits afoot to force the Dems to keep Biden on the ticket in some of the swing states. It was a Fox news story moments ago. Whether factual or not, today's news cycle is not boring.

Not going to say impossible but very, very unlikely. The poll numbers are bad, real bad. She's down double digits to Trump if the election were to happen today.

And don't think people didn't forget about the student loan forgiveness failure.

I think it's finally going to all come to roost for the dems.

What poll are you looking at? Latest polls (link a page or so earlier) show her leading Trump, though within the margin of error.

I posted this earlier, but of course no Trump supporter will read this poll (doesn't support confirmation bias), or believe it if they do. But, Harris is already leading Trump by 2 points. The Dems will come home. Meanwhile Trump is apparently too stupid to even invite Haley to the convention. Trump supporters would rather complain about RINO's, all of whom have republican constituencies (now there's a puzzle for the true believers), than figure out what is needed to win and govern.

As a result, some republicans will simply vote down ballot, ignoring Trump. Unfortunately, Donald and his loyalists need every single one of them.

There it is. With Haley as his VP candidate, it would be a Trump win! Haley would then be set up to run for President in four years.

Watching the "all or nothing" Republican and Democrat parties is like watching spoiled kids throwing temper tantrums.

The best governing is from the center with everyone getting at least a little piece of the pie.

Note: Overall I much prefer Robert Kennedy Jr. I would like to meet and converse with him. Maybe invite him to bring his hunting falcon and spend a day in the field.

Personally, I have NO use for Trump or Biden. Neither has an once of integrity! Trump was and would be much better than Biden but I wish both parties would select better candidates...

I’ve always heard the dems will get 33% the republicans will get 33% and you fight for the remaining 33%. Now tit seems more like 40/40 and you fight for the remaining 10%.

But Trump was the "non-politician" that gave many a belief back in their country and what our age old values were. And, Trump is a fighter which the Republican party is in dire need of. Would I rather see another Reagan...absolutely.....Desantis would have been more electable. Are we to the point in our elections that if a candidate chosen by the voters of a primary can’t hold up and it looks like there isn’t any way they will win the party will cast them aside and just pick someone else that hasn’t received a single vote. If that’s the new normal why have primaries at all. I do realize most of this is driven by Biden’s health but many have known about that for years.
