The prior agreement would have gotten Hunter off the hook for acting as a foreign agent without registration among many other things.

I don't trust Weiss but he has a deadline at the end of September on the gun charge. That's why it has become news this week. Also think the gun charge and IRS charge would be in separate jurisdictions. One in Delaware and one in California. If anything positive comes out of the special counsel it is all due to the Republican House Committees.

I don't trust Weiss either. Could be just another Dog & pony show to make it look like they are doing something.

Yes. That is my understanding. Obviously if there was fraud with the IRS, the state taxes probably weren't paid either and a state might then get involved.

People that are much more informed than me have a split decision on Weiss. Some think he has been misled and his assistant Wolf has been hiding things from him. Also both FBI and DOJ in DC have not let him have all the information regarding Burisma and the investigation out of the Pittsburgh FBI office. These people think he will get to the bottom of this and charge Hunter and continue up the chain. They think Garland was forced to appoint him and give him the power of Special Council after the judge blew up the settlement. Other's think it will continue to be covered up.

Time will tell.

That would track with everything I am hearing as well. Both narratives expressed with absolute conviction.

We are in the same boat as most of the developed countries, in case you didn't know.
Our population increase stalled, we are barely positive and it doesn't look good for the future even with immigration.

There are lots of europeans who would LIKE to emigrate here, but policy holds them at arms bay while any gangbanger who can jump a fence is welcomed. They would be a better fit for a tech industry, too.

So far, Hunter Biden is the low hanging fruit. The DOJ & FBI, dont want anyone climbing further up the tree.
I expect Hunter's punishment to be nothing but a slap on the wrist.

Lying on a Federal ATF form 4473 carries a penalty of up to 15 years in prison.

Tax evasion carries a penalty of up to 5 years in prison, and a $250,000 fine.

In theory, Hunter could be eligible for 20 years in prison, plus fines. I bet he won't serve a day.

The rest of us peasants would be in for a nice long stay in the gray bar hotel.

My "big" safe is a Liberty Timber Ridge 48 gun unit.. Ive been looking around for an additional safe for a little while trying to figure out what to buy and was seriously considering another Liberty.. for the money I have been very happy with the quality, and the one time I ever have had to call them I found their customer service to be excellent..

They are off the consideration list now.. makes my search a good bit easier..

Gonna have to find a Sunday afternoon special at one of the local gun shows from a dealer of an alternate brand who doesn't want to haul it home. ;-)

I don’t buy into the notion that China is playing chess while the US plays checkers. The history of China is replete with dynasties, civil wars, Mongol invasions and occupation. Yeah, people who identify as Chinese have been around a long time. But they rise up and change governments with regularity. This history scares the bejesus out of the CCP by the way.

The “modern” versions of China, namely the Republic of China (1912-1949) and the People’s Republic of China (1949-now) were a complete break with Chinese history. The Republic was a flash in the pan (unless you believe that Taiwan is the legitimate capital of China) and there are plenty of Americans older than the People’s Republic! Wake up Joe, I’m talking about you!

Just one good example of CCP malfeasance…..their One Child Policy. This one mistake will lead to China’s ultimate (and fast approaching) collapse. They passed the point of no return 20 years ago. In as little as a decade from now, they won’t have enough 20-30 year olds to staff their factories. Their trade-driven economy will collapse and they’ll have neither the money nor food to support their large number of retirees. Revolution and breakup will follow.

I won’t go into the nonsense of allowing one man to run everything. Cults of personality never end well. Once again, Africa will say goodbye to an imperial master who simply can’t afford the upkeep.

In the near term, China is dangerous. In 20 years we wont be giving them much thought.

Attorneys are giving different opinions regarding the Diversion Agreement as well. Will be interesting on how the judge rules.

There’s a risk in bringing in people from abroad, who may not buy into the system in place. Closed societies like China are closed for a reason.

Huntington Beach along with other cities within Orange County, San Diego and even more so Riverside and San Bernardino Counties are for the most part much more conservative than LA County.
