on a lighter note...

Interesting. It turns out that this is international. I also sometimes heard this euphemism like "Your dad caught a duck" from an old grandmother. Although the language is completely different in both grammar and vocabulary.

Well, believe it or not it is possible to catch ducks and geese (wild, semi wild, and domestic), providing you have the right hook and bait (usually bread), normally 6 to 8 pound test clear or dark color monofilament fishing line, and a 3-5 foot long, heavy, fishing pole. A reasonably size, easy to carry cardboard to put them in (generally 3-4 duck, or 2 geese limit) box to carry them home in.

How do I know this you ask?:

A fellow carrying a cardboard box with a duck in it instructed me on how duck population control in the local city park is conducted. Oh yes, it is Highly Illegal! in Ohio to practice this method of waterfowl hunting.

:A Secret:Or a 12 gauge, a good dog, and a good get-away driver. :E Crazy:

As a retired "military "brat": I can't, really I can't, bad mouth any branch of service, with all do respect to and except the Coast Guard, because various members of my family have served in every branch of the military except the Coast Guard since the (US) Civil War.

So I'll just say this:

The navy calls a latrine "the head" for a reason, prior to and the purpose of assigning women to sea duty.

Disclaimer: not all women or men conduct certain activities in "the head".

The marines, army, air force, call the civilian version of a bathroom a latrine, because there are only showers and no bathtubs.

As to whether the army, navy,or air force gets the more attractive classier or the "sleazy easy" type women; depends on rank, awards on the soldiers uniform, or type of aircraft one pilots; according to most of the young women in my youth that I have "entertained" helicopter pilots do it best, because they can "hover".: Whereas navy and air force "jet jockeys" are "in and out" in seconds.

There by this post is misleading, yet reasonably accurate.

Brickburn, and other administrators: Where are all the emojis?
Not one of my emojis appeared! in my thread to show thinking, laughing with tears, smiley faces, or the surprise expression that would allow a more humorous attitude to my thread.

Aaaahhh, sorry no guns, no dogs, and a fast get-away driver would only cause unwanted attention when, while, or after the "perverbial" and "literally " fishing for ducks.(laughing with tears emoji)

Thanks.
It took me a while. I finally found the emojis. Not that it really matters now, but the emojis were easier to get to before the updates.

I saw you were looking for some Swift A-Frames for your 9.3. I just bought a bulk supply of them in the 285g. version. If Toby's are gone, I could let 100 go for $200 shipped you are interested.
Thanks,
Gary
