Jeffreys Bay is beautiful place to take up residence!!! Welcome to AH!

Wow--that's a lot of greetings! Thanks all.

Well long story short, my wife's folks are moving out to SA from Germany (her dad is originally from Namibia), so we've decided to throw some roots there ourselves. We're moving to Jeffreys Bay which is about an hour and a half from her parents, but between the two households, I hope to have the freezers stocked year round--something that's pretty hard hunting public lands like I'm doing now. I will miss CA, but I'm very much so looking forward to this new adventure of ours...the animals being a big part of that.

Again, thanks to everyone for the greetings, and thanks to Shootist43 for the reference. I'll have temporary residency for the first 2ish years I'm there so I'm eager to find out if I'll have to take my guns out of the country every 6 months like the laws seem to state. I'm hoping there's a way around this though...

Get in touch with Henry sooner rather than later. SA has a lot of restrictive firearms laws/regulations, Henry is an attorney and helping hunters get their firearms into and out of the country is one of his specialties. from stories here and on other sites the SA Police have pulled a lot of s... resulting in the lining of their pockets. THEY DON'T SCREW WITH HENRY!!!

As long as they don't line their pockets with my guns;)

Thanks again for the recommendation. I'll be sure to get in touch with him. And thanks to everyone else for the greetings to this sight. I'm very happy to have joined.

Had an excellent classifieds transaction with JoninCO. A truly honest and standup member. I wouldn't hesitate at all to deal with him again. Thanks, J!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
