Welcome to AH! What did you end up choosing for your double?? Always great to have new members. What part of Canada are you from?

Im from B.C westcoast of Canada, for the double at first I wanted a 500NE but after talking to Ralf (Rep for Heym) I decided to settle for a Heym 89B 450/400 hope it’s a good choice. I haven’t received it yet when I do I’ll post some pictures for sure.

Welcome aboard SHIKARI786. What double rifle did you buy, i.e. brand and caliber? What kind and caliber rifles do you already own? What are you thinking about hunting in Africa?

I would like to hunt Buffalo for sure but not too familiar with all the species will have to do some research get some advice. I own 3 rifles 1.30/06 Mauser Rifle and 2. 9.3x62’s.

Good to see more doubles ending up in BC! And a 89b at that. Sure it was pricey but what a gun! Not a ton of doubles here in BC but Ralf is the man! If I didn’t buy my 450no2 last year, I know I would of bought a used double from Ralf.

I hope you get to hunt in BC with your new Heym double before you take it to Africa. I hunted elk with my .450-400 and it was a great confidence booster when hunting Cape buffalo a year later!

It will be Rolf, is a great source of info on rifles, he is the only one in Canada I let work on mine.
