New Lipseys M77 .35 Whelen

I had a tang safety 77R in 35 Whelan and a couple of 700 Classics. None were original. The 77 had a bell and Carlson stock on it. the 700 had another one, a thumbhole.

Nice rifles, wish I still had them.

Try being left handed but right eye dominant. That caused me to become a right hand shooter with long guns but still left handed with hand guns

Sounds like a great son. It's not easy being in that boat but we adapt and overcome.

Left eye dominant and write left hand. Left handed on a bolt action and ambidextrous on nearly everything else. When I pick up a pistol with my right eye I even trained myself to become right eye dominant, and can instantly switch back and forth.

I could care less about learning a right hand bolt. I meant I’m calling lipseys next week to discuss this issue instead of just complaining about it. lol.

I also qualified expert with my 1911 with both hands. Sargent was impressed.

I wouldn't qualify with either hand, so between us we balance the world out.

Why??
We three are happy with ourselves and have great genetics that enable us to do what other mere mortals can't.

Anyone that can handle a 1911 well is a superior person.
In Canada I shot one and the range officer wanted me to use the Weaver stance for recoil.
I told him I'm fine one handed.
The torso target was placed at 15 yards
I told him I would put 2 centre mass and 5 in the head.
He just looked at me as if I was joking.
A few seconds later the target had two in the centre chest and five between his eyes.
All the range officer could say was
Dang I wouldn't like to be a burglar in your house.
I just smiled and continued to have fun with the other 43 rounds.
I do love the slap of the 45 in my hand

I got my wrist slapped for not using the weaver stance while qualifying. Slapped with the safety paddle by drill Sargent. After he saw my grouping he said I could finish qualifying with my stance. After qualifying right handed I told range officer I was left handed and asked if I could try again left handed as by then my right wrist had started swelling. Tighter grouping left handed but expert with both hands.
