President Trump signed an Executive Order yesterday entitled, "Addressing Egregious Actions of the Republic of South Africa." It specifically calls out Expropriation Act 13 of 2024 (Act).

The EO cuts off all aid to South Africa and says the US "shall promote the resettlement of Afrikaner refugees escaping government-sponsored race-based discrimination, including racially discriminatory property confiscation." It goes on to say that Afrikaner refugees who are the victims of unjust racial discrimination will be given priority.

The full EO is here.

I don't know what impact this will have on hunting in South Africa but Trump is getting serious.

Addressing a problem that so far hasn't materialized. But now it most assuredly will materialize! Trump's executive order only encourages the radicals in South Africa. "Look, those farmers have someplace to go. Why shouldn't we kick them out?" Smooth move, Donald. Jeezus! Isn't there SOMEONE on his staff that knows SOMETHING about international diplomacy? This could be a disaster. He's throwing gas on a fire that really wasn't even smoldering ... yet. It would not surprise me if this starts a war.

Land confiscation is just an example used. The order has to do with providing refugee status for Afrikaners suffering from government sponsored discrimination. You would have to be living in an alternate universe to not understand that this is a major problem in RSA that has been going on for decades.

The US is going to get a big group of very educated young kids and very knowledgeable farmers if this materializes. Will address a need for good STEM workers and great farmers which I believe is lacking currently.

You don’t even know how much money the US gives them each year. Hell CAN does not even keep up their NATO payments. Don’t start throwing rocks or you may get the truck backed up on you….beep….beep…beep. This how this Trump negotiates issues, he does not ask he just drops the bomb and walks out of the room. He who speaks next or first loses. That is why CAN is now going to commit $1 billion to the northern border now.

History has proven these things can happen, President Trump is getting ahead of this and letting the ignorant, or self serving who think this is a good idea for RSA know there being watched. US dollars, be it our foreign aid or tourism is a pretty big stick. He is far from being a fool, lets sit back and see. My hopes, prayers and dollars for RSA and the Safari industry.
Not really sure where Mr. Trudeau Is on the World stage as of late??

It’s across the board. Some of the best engineers I worked with were South African. South Africa will be hooped if the Afrikaners leave.

What a great way to kick off our 2025 hunting season in South Africa.

This beautiful Impala ram was taken at just over 300 yards, took a few steps and toppled over.

We are looking forward to the next week and a half of hunting with our first client of the year.

Do you have any more copies of African Dangerous Game Cartridges, Author: Pierre van der Walt ? I'm looking for one. Thanks for any information, John [redacted]
