New Documentary Film On A Lion Hunt

. . .HSUS, their intentions are not bad, but we did learn that the animal lovers lack a lot of information, it's part of our challenge in the film, our film has integrity and is true to what we saw in Tanzania.

Sir, I understand that you are not a USA resident and as such, might not fully have a grasp of HSUS. Their intentions are very anti-hunter, and fund just about every anti-hunting bill that's up for consideration in every state and at the Federal level. They have zero interest in saving hunting, just fundraising (by showing some poor animal at some shelter) and spending their money against hunting interests and pennies on the shelter animals and banking the rest of it away in the Cayman Islands.

You would have a hard time convincing me that HSUS supplied funds for a fair and balanced project. Indeed, the quote from the review states the opposite: "A final title-card does adopt an unambiguously negative stance, however (the film is, after, all, "made with the support of the Humane Society of the USA"). Almagor and Harel indict Neilson and his ilk for "exacerbating the problem" by exploiting the relative poverty of economically downtrodden places such as Tanzania that welcome such free-spending foreign visitors with open arms."

The end card was pushed by distribution forces, they did so because the film explicitly lets the hunters tell their side of the story in the film, it was a very difficult road to reach the film we have which goes against what's going on in the media. The cards says this: "The combined stresses of poaching and human encroachment are pushing the African lion population to collapse. rophy hunting has a legitimate role as an economic incentive in the fight against poaching, but is only exacerbating the problem without more resources to tackle poaching and encroachment. Without global support that crosses financial and political agendas, mounted trophies will be the only proff left that the king of the beasts used to roam in the wild." - if you ask me this card is self contradictory and i would give it up if it was up to me alone. Anyways the film speaks for itself.
