My new K95 is finally here!

sorry if i missed it but what do you plan on hunting with this rifle. I just bought a merkel k1 and im excited to get it out on the mountain

This was my dream duo for a Mauser 66 in my European days, but I could never afford it...

30 years later, I love the .257 Wby and .300 Wby duo in my R8 :)
Funny how we build into caliber thoughts, for my R8 Success I have 22-250, 6.5x55, 30-06 and 9.3x62. To my eyes this is the perfect small to big game quad set.

If you had to choose between the wood stock and the ultimate, which would you go with? Can you snap the decocker on quickly with the synthetic stock? Beautiful rifles! I love my K95
I would always go with a lovely walnut stock , but that's just me , old fashion in that regards. I have the synthetic stock on the R8 and it's very functional and practical.

If my wife were with me when I was buying a K95, it would be a wood stock. If I were alone, I'd most likely get a synthetic.

She's always been a good influence on me. ;)

Here's a photo of Tony receiving that Shaw & Hunter award at the 1970 annual EAPHA Dinner Dance. Tony Dyer, then EAPHA President and Princess (Sunny) von Auersperg presented it. I also attended the event.

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ
