45 days ago an old friend wanted to come visit the farm. We rode around for half a day checking the crop. The conversation eventually turned to covid and the vaccine...it always does. That's when he told me that his son had convinced him that between the side effects and the unknown long term effects of the vaccine, he had chosen not to get it. I did not attempt to convince him otherwise...that was his choice.
20 days ago the delta variant caught up with him.
2 days ago he passed away. He was 69, in pretty darn good health, due to fully retire this fall, and no longer needs to worry about what the long term effects of a vaccine might be. It's a bitter pill.
