Murder of Americans in Haiti

Agreed. To give you an idea how bad US aid can be, after the earthquake we sent shiploads of bottled water in. This was fine in the immediate aftermath, but we continued to do so, giving it away for free, and drove the only bottling plant in the country out of business.

In a similar vein, the most capable hospital in country was shuttered by free Red Cross clinics. The Red Cross refused to help a for profit hospital.

It’s hard to believe just how bad we are at helping beyond immediate triage in the wake of a disaster.
Same situation in Africa every day sadly

What sad news. They were hero's for the Gospel And were very brave.

You and I have very different perspectives on this. Let me provide an example that may help you understand where I am coming from.

I have done extensive missions work in Togo and to a lesser extent Kenya and Haiti. The model we work with is training indigenous Christians to lead centers that serve the youth of a community. One of my best friends is a Burundian refugee. He survived being forced to become a child soldier, escaped the genocide in Burundi to Kenya, played 13 years of professional football (soccer) and then joined the organization I referenced. He worked for me building the center in Togo before moving to Haiti. He and his family have been serving the people of Haiti for ten years now. He has led the building of three centers. Those centers are led by roughly 70 Haitians and serve three thousand children.

So as you no doubt can see, my experience causes me to have a very different point of view on this.
It all sounds good but does it ever last more than one or two generations? Haiti exists on mostly foreign aid and is a failed state with no hope. It's destroyed it's ecosystem. What remains after that?

Yes. They definitely have joined the heroes of the faith the Apostle Paul talked about in Hebrews! The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the church. Prayers.

Thank you moderators.

People remain. People who need hope.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
