We became aware of the rediculously high increases in gun TIP fees early in March. See notice published in October 2014 attached.
Despite an opportunity during the annual hunter's meeting in December to inform us of such, it has not been disclosed. Amos was until March, also unaware of this inilateral increase.
I don't know about you but PH's and clients are not prepared to pay almost $1000 for a single Gun TIP, valid for only a short period of time.
Neighbouring countries charge very little, if anything, for TIP's. This is going to be very damaging to Mozambique's image as a preferred eco tourism and hunting destination. We have enough negative things, such as poaching, corruption, ban on Hippo etc. to deal with. We do not need this!
We brought this to AMOS' notice and are awaiting a report back from them.
