The Giant Angolan Sable...the real one!
I got thinking this evening watching a glorious sunset about the magnificent beauty of the animals we hunt. Do a search on this forum on 'most beautiful antelope' and the results go on and on and clearly all hunters find their quarry beautiful. But if we were to crown just one, limiting it to Africa for now although the world has many, what would the winner be? Grace, poise, proportion, markings, horns - so much to love. So, what is your choice?
All antelope are magnificent, it is true. It is as if they vie for pride of place and all get a crown.Look closely...View attachment 367916
What is it?And then there are these...largest horn per body size I believe.View attachment 367915
A wise man you are! That's why the GG is high on my list as well. And then there are these...largest horn per body size I believe.View attachment 367915
Hard to argue with your logic, Sir!Bongo, nyala, bushbuck and then the rest of the spiral horns before anything else.
Grant's Gazelle if your asking. All three are very special, however.Grants, Peters or Roberts gazelle in post 63.
Make sure you all vote so we capture all this.Nyala

+1 but I would swap out eland with the bushbuck. Eland is #1 on my ‘want’ list though, the type of hunt really appeals to me.Bongo, nyala, bushbuck and then the rest of the spiral horns before anything else.
Post above mine was wondering.Grant's Gazelle if your asking. All three are very special, however.
