I’m starting to fear it will not be before Christmas… everyone seems to enjoy taking their sweet time to get it over here.

At least its not our almost 1 year wait on average that we wait for a firearm license.
Hope father Christmas comes through and can pass it on before then.

Still no news on when I'll get my hands on it, but in the mean time I found this bloke that handled the Heym before the auction. He seemed to like it quite well too:

Yeah me too... this is all taking too long.

So far, the gun shop in Belgium has
- paid Holts (big step in my opinion)
- requested import license (should be fairly quick to get it)

we still need
- Holts to get their own export license out of the UK
- to get a customs agent experienced with firearms to actually import the thing
- to organize transport
- oh yeah... I need to pay up to the gun shop (he needs to make an invoice first though)

But the good news is that I'll have a new house in a few weeks/months, where I'll be granted the possibility by my loving fiancee to create my own "office/gunroom".

Well, work is a bit slow with the 11/11 yesterday.
And since I'm currently quarantined at home (we both got tested positive for covid two days ago) I thought this was a good thing to start the weekend with!

Very beautiful, it seems never been used out in the bush. I am very facinated by the calibers, I do own guns in both 7X65R and 375 H&H, a drilling Johann Fanzoy, 7X65R and two cal 16 shotbarrels
and the Krieghoff over and under double, 375 H&H.

According to a accompanying note by the previous owner it was used by himself on multiple hunts in Europe and Africa.

I’m looking forward to continuing to hunt with it for many years to come!

Now, if only this whole import business gets through quick…

So this could be a reason for the Benelux (+FR/DE/etc) AH members to all join with their own double. We shouldn't let those Americans have all the fun, doing meetups and all
