Leupold M8 2.5X Compact

You know you have a problem when you have three times as many scopes as rifles.....

As such, I have an unusually minty matte Leupold M8 2.5X Compact with the standard duplex reticle. The guy I bought it from said it was new, and I believe it, as I can't find even a trace of ring marks. The glass is perfect as well.

Is this scope for scout rifles only or will it work for conventional mounting?

This is a conventional scope, but it does have fairly long eye relief.
