@CZDiesel, it took me a bit of time to sort this out but @Heavyload is not the person who scammed you. You sent the money to a scammer @tamire23 who reach out to you directly in the PM system and you sent the money to him. @tamire23 who contacted you has been banned and the IP address traces back to Nigeria. I'm very sorry this happened to you but this scammer who contacted you with a completely different member name and account has nothing with @Heavyload.

This is a simple confidence scam.

Here's the SCAM:

Buyer public post: "PM Sent"

SCAMMER: (TOTALLY DIFFERENT USER NAME, NOT THE SELLERS)
Sends PM to buyer moments after Buyer posts.

"Hey, I have the XYZ Commodity sellers number.
Great guy, bought three Camels from him last week. he sent me four. --
Here's his number. (999) 123 4657 Just text him the money."

Buyer send text: Sends money and awaits his XYZ commodity.

Seller public post:"Still for sale"

Buyer: What?, I sent you money.....

Ensuing entertainment for Scammer while they are spending the money.

so if I’m understanding this correctly someone contacted CZDiesel In a private message with a different forum handle (not me,Heavyload) and convinced him to resume they’re transaction in a text message? Not even claiming to be me In the private message?

The part of it I’m having a hard time believing is CZDiesel didn’t see or know it wasn’t me that sent him a private message. And after this all started he still didn’t realize that it wasn’t me still.
Couldn‘t he see that it wasn’t Heavyload that sent him the private message? And he never responded to real private message I sent him. couldn’t he see it?

Yes, I'm having a bit of trouble trying to follow what happened. Let me see if I got it right. Someone totally uninvolved in the deal saw the buyer's post in the classified thread that said "PM sent" (indicating he wanted to purchase). Then prospective purchaser receives a private message from the unrelated internet spy claiming to know or have had previous experience buying from the vendor, and advising the wannabe buyer how to make the purchase via net transfer. Why would anyone follow purchase instructions from a third party? I have heard of scammers claiming they are the vendor but due to computer breaking down, out of the country, or some other sob story, they are compelled to log on with a buddy's or family member's ID. A person would have to be very naive to fall for it but the desire to quickly close the deal on an unbelievable bargain sucks in thousands of gullible internet shoppers every day. Govern yourself accordingly.

Everyone I want to thank AH for figuring it all out and that all parties are cleared… I personally tried to do the right thing by contacting Admin and staying cool headed but at the same time I’d like to give a public apology to Heavyload, Heavyload I am truly sorry that I was scammed in a sale of yours and you were pulled into it!
So you know, after I originally PM’d you I received the next pm within minuets and I did feel a little uncomfortable but I looked up your past AH history and you looked great so I went ahead with the transaction… So again my apologies!!!
