ISO crf 9.3x62 rifle

I was just thinking if you are looking for a new rifle. a new Super Grade Winchester in 30.06 or 270 then send it to Jess for a re-bore to 9.3x62 and it would be cheaper than a lot of used rifles I have seen lately

Good luck with this search- my experience is that you will absolutely fall in love with the efficiency of this caliber. The 9.3x62 in my opinion is THE true all rounder.

I have a CZ 550 American in 9.3x62.

I don’t shoot much since I got a Steyr SM 12 in 9.3x62.

So I would probably sell the CZ.

Keep an eye out on the Simpson ltd website. Often enough husqy 9.3s are for sale. You can usually get the x62s for $800-1,100 and the x57s for half that. I got a nice surplus FN 98 in x57 and had it re-chambered to x62 which was a very economical route.

@Josh P Simpsons is great, I’ll have to keep a check more frequently. It’s hard to find one in there before the stock has cracked :/ but maybe I’ll get lucky one day. That sounds like an awesome rifle! Love to see a pic of it sometime

Very clean, no crack in the stock. I do plan to relieve it behind the action and bed it all, but it’s very functional as it sits. I also appreciate the cleanliness of the action and how it’s especially a blank canvas for scope bases etc. I plan to use another for future projects if a better option for a sonar action isn’t presented. For a no frills working rifle, it’s hard to beat a husqy, in my admittedly limited opinion.

@Flbt there’s a [emoji6][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]] on there that’s pretty tempting. However, the stock is unfortunately cracked .
I have looked at a few and for the price I have seen here in fl
You can order a rifle and plan to replace the stock and it still be cheaper than our gun shops

Especially when you look at the price on some of the combo guns
I just don’t have any idea we’re to get replacement stocks for a combo gun
Lol

Morning Rob, Any feeling for how the 300 H&H shoots? How's the barrel condition?

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
