Beautiful big trophies, well done.
I used a 416 Rigby to shoot my eland but I think a well placed Barnes X from a 7x57 would do the job although probably not the best choice .
That a Swarovski 6-24x50 ? I bought a Ron Wharton in 275 in Holts a couple of years ago which came with the exact same scope.
@SFRanger7GP Have you worked up any loads with the North Fork .284 160gr spitzers? Would really appreciate any info you could share?Mama’s 275 Rigby prefers the heavier bullets. Shoots 170gr Norma and 175 Nosler Partitions the best. I am going to be working up some loads using North Fork’s heavy bullets for this deer season.
I bought a case of Hornady 275 Rigby stamped ammo when I ordered her rifle some 10+ years ago, so we have plenty of brass.
It would not be my preferred eland cartridge, but if that was what we had in our hands and the PH gave his approval, I would shoot it. But it would have to be close and offering and excellent vital shot.
Safe shooting

Thanks!Good morning.
I have not loaded any 160gr NF. I have loaded 160gr Nosler Partitions. I don't have my loading data with me but when I return to the US in a few weeks I can send you some of that data if you are interested.
Safe shooting
Spike, Iooked hard and long for a Highland Stalker in 275 Rigby, but none locally. So I shifted the sights to a Ruger No1 in 7x57, because as you know I love the things. Found one that had been 'improved', ghastly mess. And that lead to a brand new No1 in 30-06 that had been sitting on a store shelf in Johannesburg, forgotten. So it was duly snapped up and fitted with a Swarovski 1-6 x 24 EE. I hope you will not be too disappointed! So @Kevin Peacocke have you got one sorted yet?....more I use my m98 7x57 the more I love it....
Or 7mm Mauser !Everyone needs a .275, even if it’s marked 7X57!
