The other day I found at a gun store a used interarms mark x 7mm rem mag for $350 the stock had been painted a camo pattern but the blueing was still good and it had a removable muzzle brake. I’m not too familiar with these but it’s just a basic Mauser rifle, I like the caliber but is it really worth it, I have another 7 mag already in a vanguard. Also I’m eyeballing a BSA monarch I believe it is also in
7 mag but it’s higher and has a wooden stock just curious on some input. Thanks

If wood stocked.....less than $10 for stripper. About $3 in product for an oil finish. Small fee for a gun smith to remove the muzzlebrake. Nice $500 rifle to take hunting. Why not?

Kicking around the idea of a new gun and found that one, also considering a BSA in 7 mag and an older savage 110 in 7 mag, although I did find a husqvarna in 30-06 price was about $650 something like that but someone had the side mount tap holes filled and it didn’t look that nice to me although I have always heard the husqvarna rifles were good

I have a Whitworth Express in .458 WM. I've had it for over 40 years and have taken two buffalo with it. That is the Interarms X action. I liked it so well that I bought another Mark X action a couple of years later to build another rifle. Life got in the way, but I finally had a well known gunsmith complete the job as a .300 WM. I have used it to take mule deer, black bear, moose and several African PG. So I would say say yes the 7 mag would be worth it, but I do not have any experience with the BSA Monarch

Good quality working man's rifles. Built on the Yugoslavian military surplus Mauser action. Is yours one of the earlier ones with the magazine floor plate release catch located INSIDE the trigger bow ? Or one of the later ones where the magazine floor plate release catch is located OUTSIDE the trigger bow ?

A word of warning is imperative though. The magazine floor plates have a disconcerting tendency to pop open when firing heavy recoiling loads. So you might want to consider having the factory coil spring replaced with a stronger one.

The BSA Monarch is also an extremely solid choice of rifle. I personally consider them to be the world's most reliable push feed action, hands down. It's a real shame that BSA stopped making them.

Thank you for the info, the Interarms I looked at is a later model with the floor plate button on the outside, I am leaning a lot towards the BSA, it seems to be a very neat rifle I’m going to look at it possibly today, also have in mind an older savage model 110 also in 7mm rem mag. It’s a wooden stock 110 and I know they are solid rifles. Some may turn the nose up to them but they are a robust design it’ll probably be a toss up between those two. Thanks for the input

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is [redacted]. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Good day, Slider.

Do you by any chance have any 500NE brass left that you are willing to part ways with?

Best regards,
Boela Bekker.
