That is a huge impala QC, well done.
When I shoot the first one, my PH said: This is by far the best Impala I've seen in this area.

When I shot the second he said: This is the best Impala I've seen in the area.

I said: Hey, you said the same thing on the first one.

He put both skulls side by side. Almost exact copy.

I'm proud of them. I've not seen many like these.

Impala are cool animals, They can be a treat and real challenge to hunt in thick broken woodland. There was a good ram in this group of 40-50. Followed and tracked them for at least two or three miles and most of a day. Best opportunity was about 250 yards through open woodland but the good ram kept milling around inside the group. I did't want a twofer or threefer. Never got a shot at the ram. No matter, they are great to watch with their graceful, high and impressive jumps.

They are in a tightly packed bunch in the middle of this patch of mopane scrub.

And this was my finding as well. I found the whole "beginner animal" statement to not be entirely true. It was a ton of work, lots of walking, and really learning how to follow my PH on a stalk for us to get a good male.

I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA

Hello - I was looking at your post from several years ago regarding the Winchester 300 H&H. Any chance you still have the lefty M70 300 H&H for sale?
Thank you, Mike

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
