I have become a Rancher

For those who haven't seen the video I've uploaded one to my YouTube channel. Here is the link:

This is awesome best of luck

We've purchased three additional Rhino. That brings the herd count to 29. Two have been safely transported to their new home. Waiting on the third.

Third Rhino has arrived and been off loaded. Looking good. That brings the total to 29.

The baby Rhino has been spotted. That now brings the Rhino count to 30. No pictures yet because the grass is so tall it’s hard to approach close enough for a picture. Super pleased.

An acquaintance of mine has purchased a herd of Rhino ( not sure what type ) for relocation to his grazing property in western NSW . I think it is 12 or 14 . For quarantine reasons they cannot come directly into Australia . These animals are being held by a zoo in New Zealand . Not sure when they will ever arrive in OZ . To say my friend is frustrated is an understatement . The expense is stratospheric. No government assistance sought or offered .

Congrats to your friend! Nice that Australia will ultimately although their import. Understand about the government. Their job is to get in the way. And use our tax dollars to do it. Keep us posted please (without location details).

Finally a picture of our baby rhino (to the right of its Mom). Trackers tell us there might be another baby on the property as well. Hoping to get better photos at some point. Herd size is 30 or 31 (if there is another baby).

Beautiful, congratulations and thank you for your conservation efforts.

Super cool. Those momma rhinos are tuned in. They know what's going on. Thanks for posting and hope you continue to do so.

You are doing fantastic job!

Is there a specific ratio of male / females to be followed?

Thanks. We'd prefer a few more females then males but realistically it all comes down to what's on the market that we find attractive (age, health, body size, horn size, and of course cost).

Hi Dr. Ray, I will be in Cooktown from Oct 16 to Oct 23 fishing Lizard Island Black Marlin Tournament.

I have several "slack" days after fishing before I head for stay in Sydney and Fiji.

Do you have any recommendations for 1 or 2 day hunt near Cooktown?

I've hunted both DG and PG in 4 different countries in Africa.
Thank you,
Bob
