I blame Bob N 35 whelen

You got my vote Bob. Oh wait I am not a resident of Australia.
Join some minority religion and they will take you. They import all sorts now to get the votes.

@Grumpy gumpy
Wash your mouth out with soap. If'n y'all ain't careful I will contact @CBH Australia and get him to dress in his broken heel outfit complete with pink tutu and ballet slippers and he can come and bitch slap you silly with his handbag for being so mean.
You should know by now a 243 will never be in my gun safe. Dang I would even let anyone steal one, I would tell them to use a bag of rocks and throw them. That would be more effective. The shame would be to much.
Bob
Took you a while to wake up but once you get rolling you’re pretty good on the come backs! Pink tutu and slippers with a handbag…..brilliant!
On a side note how’s the baby wombat collection goingo_O

Maxine with makeup is looking a little better, 4 out of 10. If the caliber makes magic and she is a shooter I know I will leave with the landowner of my lease. He is single 63 and has several sections in Caddo county. He is adamant that any single good looking woman his age is gold digger, psycho, or addicted to something, or possibly a combination thereof. He prefers plain as can be and he is correct after meeting some his past acquaintances.
Maxine may get a refinish and new glass if clover leaves on paper and come home to reside with me.
Much like yours, my African in .375 has pretty plain walnut, but both it and the Alaskan will shoot and have always functioned 100%. Maybe not the prettiest girls at the dance, but they make up for it in other ways and I was able to take them both home at the same time. Better an African and an Alaskan at home than just looking at a Purdey on the internet.

If things don't work out with Maxine, you could always trade her off for one in .338WM. I'd suggest naming her Hillary.

That, I assume, is a reference to that stupid "influencer " who picked up the baby wombat, storm in a teacup, it was alright for various other people, mostly male, to pick them up in the past (Steve Irwin, Malcom Douglas Leyland bros etc) but, shock, horror, a female who supports hunting , no, can’t have that.

6mm REMINGTON! My father in law has a 6mmAI he hunts pronghorn with.
A Federal auditor that used to visit my office years ago swore by his 6mm Rem for Colorado mule deer.

An interesting twist on how the 244 Rem became the 6mm Rem:

Yes, Remington really screwed up with the 1:12 twist in their .244. If they had gone with a 1:10 twist, we may never have heard of the .243 Winchester. As an addendum to my earlier post, I hunted elk with a guy once that used a Remington 700 in the 6mm Remington cartridge. He told me he had killed six elk with it over the years. I personally wouldn't hunt elk with that cartridge, but I guess it worked for him and probably many others since its inception.

@WI-2021
The 338 and Hillary have a lot in common so good suggestion.
Both are over rated, make a lot of noise and don't accomplish anything that something else can't be done better by something else with less fuss. Hillary Clinton was a none starter and pretty hopeless. At least the 338 got a start but is still 2nd best compared to the Whelen.

I’m caught in the middle here. I have 3 338wins and 3 whelen. You boys is killing me!

WI-2021 & BN35 whelen, the blasphemy of suggesting a 338, nope, no way, but if I did I would call her. Kamel H Toe…..land slide loser, never elected but put in place by the machine of the left. But hey better than naming it Joe

I have read about the rename of the 244 and that 6mm mag was kicked around.
One old gunsmith here had a pice of brass that had 6mm rem mag on it.
Said he got it from a outfitter that took some gun company people on a deer hunt along time ago . He told me that in about 93
He also had a box of empty 7 mm express in the old green and white box rem supposed be from the same place

The federal 80gr load has worked well for me 32 one shot drops on deer , hog, coyotes and turkey
My wife has been using 80gr Remington form green and white Remington boxes
When I got her the rifle a old gun shop was going out of business I bought everything in 6mm that he had
We got 1 case of that old ammo
And 3 boxes of 244 gave that to a friend that his uncle used a 760 in 244

Sorry but I don’t think she done anything right there.
Any of those people who you named possibly had approvals to do the capture of native animals that they filmed.
With many species people say don’t touch it the mother will reject it. Some species even livestock will hide their offspring when being herded or mustered.
Snatching a young animal from its mother as they are trying to to escape isn’t the right thing to do. Dangling a wild baby animal like a toy in front of the camera is stupid. Putting it on social media media is another level of stupidity.
She was not hunting or promoting hunting or doing an approved documentary. If anything it does meet the definition of of illegal hunting. That is something we don’t want to promote. I’m surprised someone followed through or had the guts to take it on but it is illegal hunting and she is stupid.

If anyone is looking for a 35 W Ruger African there is a brand new one at one of the LGS I frequent. I think they had 1250 on it. PM me if you want the info on where it is at

With those others I mentioned, they didn’t have approval, and me calling her stupid was an accurate description, the bit I was trying to explain was that she was singled out for being an idiot whilst the others weren’t, though Irwin was criticised. Did you see the short clip of her picking up the baby eastern brown by the tail….one of the few snakes that can easily climb their own body and rates at no.2 or 3 on the most deadly snakes in the world ( and one of the most common in Australia), shame it didn’t tag her, though it would have cost the tax payers money to try and keep her alive

One way to find out. I'm sure he'll tell us once he appears. I would love to visit Australia to see the sights, hunt buffalo, and learn more of the way, the truth, and the light that is the .35 Whelen.
Be very, very certain that you want this:unsure:! Bob is only a short drive from Sydney. Can you handle it, can you handle it:D:A Stirring::A Banana:?
Actually … Bob is a good guy and Judy is a lovely lady:D.

Or at least sell the 243 and get a 244/6mm
Good suggestion @Flbt. The 6mm/244 Remington is a much safer chambering because the combustion gases leave the cartridge case in line with the barrel. You do not prematurely roughen up the leade and cause pressure problems. I ran a club range complex for 14 years and you need to learn information like that when you are dealing with enthusiastic novices talking up their load development plans!

However, if you are seriously suggesting a 6mm as a general purpose hunting cartridge … may you be drowned in ‘weasel piss’ Budweiser and spend eternity in hell, hunting dangerous game with a plastic BB gun :D :A Stirring: :A Banana::D Cheers::A Stars::P Elmer Fudd::A Stretcher:!
Have a good week. Cheers from NZ.

Morning Rob, Any feeling for how the 300 H&H shoots? How's the barrel condition?

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
