Hunter from Sweden

Welcome neighbour. In January I visit in skone and we hunt bigs, roe deers and fallow deers. I will come back to Sweden. Hunting capercalleys in winter with skies is also nice in northern Sweden

Welcome aboard aleli. you will no doubt find this to be the best site for hunters especially those thinking about hunting in Africa. Based on your introduction you will fit right in. You have a fine battery of rifles, what caliber is your B 8 in? This site is addicting, you will find it full of knowledgeable friendly people.

The R8 is in 9.3×62. Have used it to shoot quite a few boars... I used to have a 6.5×55 barrel as well but I never used it so I sold it. I usually use my 7 mm for roe buck etc. The dream would be a double rifle in 470NE but I'd rather spend the money on hunts etc. I can live with bolt rifles...

Thanks for all the welcomes, have read a lot on the forum over the weekend! Most likely, I will not go to Africa until next year. Just came back from a holiday in south east Asia and have another holiday in Grece planned for June and one in Dubai in October so it is hard to fit a hunting trip in both time and budget wise with the family. Have also considered to start with a plains game hunt first and save up for a larger DG later. But no decisions made so far :)

Hi Jon,
I saw your post for the .500 NE cases. Are these all brass or are they nickel plated? Hard for me to tell... sorry.
Thanks,
