Why is there no love for the .375 Whelen?
Because its a full custom gun and ammo, hard to find. Why is there no love for the .375 Whelen?
Bobs just lonely knowing he’s the only one in Oz with one…lol!!!!Why is there no love for the .375 Whelen?
Doesn’t use it. It’s too much gun for him.@Bob Nelson 35Whelen actually has a .35 AI so that's proof positive that the Whelen is a dog that needs improvement.
@CBH Australia and @Forrest HalleyDoesn’t use it. It’s too much gun for him.
@Rocco490I plan to have one one day. Unfortunately I currently have no cartridges over 30 caliber. My next over 30 caliber is going to be a 35 whelen. Such a shame it is not offered in more factory rifles. My plan is to rebarrel a 30 06/280/270/25 06 winchester model 70 rifle when I finally add the great 35 whelen to my collection.
@Rocco490On the subject. I was thinking 22-24 inch barrel and 1 in 12 twist in a medium weight contour. What you all recommend for barrel specs for the 35 whelen?
It sits in the safe next to the .338WM...that says it all! He's got another rifle in a useful caliber that he actually uses! Buy a useful caliber like .243 or .30-06 or .375! Never thought I'd get to rag on @CoElkHunter and @Bob Nelson 35Whelen with one post so eloquently stated. It sits in the safe next to my 338 WM and they get along well.
My Browning A Bolt .338 WINCHESTER MAGNUM has a 26” barrel, so I guess I win? LOL
