Idaho public land mule deer OTC tag and Montana elk general season. Mule deer is my second best buck to date and only my 2nd P&Y buck.

Great buck Marius!
Are they croaking over there at the moment?

So now I know where you were when you weren't in Toronto ! Congrats !

Turkey opens for us on 25 Apr in Ontario, only 11 days away but whose counting :)

Tasty trophies.

I think it was two years ago, a similar thread was started for everyone to share their season successes at home. I found it interesting and a good read, so with today being the first day of rifle season in my neck of the woods, I felt the need to start a new one!

Share your stories from this hunting season!
Tagged out in deer, up to six coyotes so far this year.

How's my hunting season so far? 50 some groundhogs and a couple crows. No deer yet. 85 degrees F here on the U.S. east coast today with T'storms forecast for this evening. Metal treestand won't be a good place to park and the mosquitoes are working overtime too.

Pretty much the same here Hogpatrol. I drew a muzzleloading buck deer tag low on the front range of Colorado. It was in the 90s! Quite unusual for September. Nothing was moving until after legal dark.
Bear hunting was cancelled due to too much smoke from the 9-10 forest fires here. Some mornings I can smell the pine sap burning from my porch.
Huntinlabs and Southwind, I’m glad you guys did well! I’ll be trying for a cow elk (didn’t get an either sex tag) mid October.

We are all ready to go for deer opening day here in GA. I did not do any bow hunting, due to work and not practicing with my bow. So, it's going to be white tail with a rifle. My son will be here, so it's going to a fun opener. :)

Nugget here. A guide gave me the nickname as I looked similar to Nugent at the time. Hunting for over 50 years yet I am new to hunting in another country and its inherent game species. I plan to do archery. I have not yet ruled out the long iron as a tag-along for a stalk. I am still deciding on a short list of game. Not a marksman but better than average with powder and string.

Everyone always thinks about the worst thing that can happen, maybe ask yourself what's the best outcome that could happen?
