Yes, a shame. I also wanted a LDE. You might be able to hunt southern Cameroon for bongo safely but I would be a bit worried about northern Cameroon for LDE. Word has it that there have been some under-reported problems in northern Cameroon lately.

What about places like Burkina Faso? Is that safe?

There was a terrorist attack at a hotel in the capital city of Ouagadougou two or three years ago but I haven't heard much since. I would recommend checking in with Ripcord if you are headed to any country as they keep their assessments and recommendations updated.

I have also looked at BF for a western roan hunt in the future. Prices for safaris there seem a bit more reasonable than many other countries. Are you booked for BF?

I’m looking into it for a hunt in the near future. Would like to hunt western savanna buffalo,roan kob and bushbuck. But I will definitely speak to rip cord or global Rescue when ready. Thanks.
